This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for determining numbers of BDs and CCEs for cross-carrier scheduling from a SCell to a PCell/PSCell. A UE may concurrently monitor, on different component carriers, a first PDCCH and a second PDCCH having different SCSs. The PDCCHs may each be configured to schedule PDSCH or PUSCH on a same component carrier of the different component carriers. Each of the PDCCHs may be associated with a respective number of PDCCH candidates or a respective number of non-overlapped CCEs, the respective numbers further associated with respective maximum numbers based on the different SCSs. A first sum of the respective number of PDCCH candidates or a second sum of the non-overlapped CCEs may be less than or equal to N times the lower of the respective maximum numbers.

Number of BD and CCE for cross-carrier scheduling from an S-Cell to a P-Cell

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a multi-cell downlink control information (MC-DCI) that via a scheduling cell may schedule communications for more than one scheduled cells. The overhead of a DCI (e.g., an MC-DCI) may be reduced by compressing or removing the carrier indication field (CIF). For example, radio resource control signaling may indicate, to a UE, a DCI payload size, control channel elements (CCE)s, and/or physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates per scheduled cell or per group of scheduled cells. If the DCI payload sizes, CCEs, and/or PDCCH candidates are different for the scheduled cells indicated in the radio resource control message, the UE may determine to which scheduled cell(s) a DCI received in a PDCCH monitoring occasion applies based on the payload size and/or CCEs of the PDCCH monitoring occasion without using a CIF.

Scheduled cell identification for multi-cell scheduling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor search spaces on a primary cell and an secondary cell in a carrier aggregation configuration. The UE may monitor the search spaces for control information according to a shared search space monitoring configuration. Based on the shared search space monitoring configuration, the UE may identify that the secondary cell is a scheduling cell and the primary cell is a scheduled cell (e.g., cross-carrier scheduling). The UE may monitor control channel candidates of search spaces on the primary cell and on the secondary cell for downlink control information messages scheduling data transmissions with the primary cell. In some examples, the cross-carrier scheduled communications may be configured according to a scheduling configuration, which may include one or more scheduling constraints.

Techniques for cross-carrier scheduling from a secondary cell to a primary cell

In one aspect, a terminal includes a receiver that receives system information including configuration information, which is first information, regarding a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), and receives a downlink control information including second information regarding the PUCCH, the downlink control information being for at least one of a message in response to a random access preamble and a contention resolution message in a random access procedure. The terminal also includes a processor that controls a transmission of uplink control information based on the configuration information regarding the PUCCH and the second information regarding the PUCCH. The configuration information regarding the PUCCH is configured commonly with the terminal and other terminals, and the second information regarding the PUCCH is configured individually for the terminal and not configured with the other terminals. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station during a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasion (PMO), first downlink control information (DCI) scheduling the UE for a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) resource on a first component carrier and for a second PDSCH resource on a second component carrier. The UE may receive, during the PMO, second DCI scheduling the UE for a third PDSCH resource on the second component carrier. The UE may identify a set of downlink assignment indices (DAIs) for the first DCI and the second DCI, where the first DCI has one or more DAIs whose values are based on the first DCI scheduling PDSCH resources on different component carriers. The UE may transmit feedback based on the set of DAIs.

Feedback schemes for multiple component carrier scheduling and joint feedback reporting

A method for wireless communication by a network node includes transmitting, to a group of user equipment (UEs), radio resource control (RRC) signaling to configure a function for enabling and disabling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a set of N instances of a multicast transport block (TB). The method also includes transmitting, to the group of UEs, the set of N instances of the multicast TB. The method further includes transmitting, to the group of UEs, a downlink control information (DCI) message on a group-common physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a group-common radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) configured for the group of UEs. The method also includes receiving, from one or more UEs of the group of UEs, a HARQ feedback message associated with one or more instances of the set of N instances after transmitting all N instances.

Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback control for multicast communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which temporary reference signals may be configured for use in secondary cell (SCell) activation. A user equipment (UE) may perform wireless communications with a first serving cell supported by a base station, and may receive an indication that a SCell is to be activated. As a result of activation of the SCell, the UE may perform one or more measurements on a reference signal of the SCell that is being activated. The one or more measurements may be performed on a temporary reference signal of the SCell that has one or more parameters that are indicated to the UE with the SCell activation information. The one or more parameter may be indicated by downlink control information (DCI), one or more medium access control (MAC) control elements, implicit signaling, or any combinations thereof.

Reference signal configuration for secondary cell activation

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, multicast data via a multicast channel. The method also includes transmitting, to the base station, multicast feedback based on receiving the multicast data. In some examples, the multicast feedback is associated with a group of UEs including the UE. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first message that includes information indicative of an inter-band carrier aggregation configuration that identifies a set of cells for communication by the network node. The UE may receive a synchronization signal on a first cell of the set of cells via a wireless channel having a first set of channel properties. Based on a first set of quasi-colocation (QCL) parameters including the first set of channel properties, the UE may then receive one or more reference signals on the second cell of the set of cells. The UE may receive the one or more reference signals on the second cell based on the synchronization signal of the first cell being a first QCL source indicating use of the first set of QCL parameters to receive the one or more reference signals.

Enhancing reference signal transmission in carrier aggregation

Mechanisms for cross-carrier scheduling from a first cell to a second cell in a wireless networking scheme are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a first configuration for scheduling in a first cell having a first subcarrier spacing (SCS), wherein the first configuration is associated with a first search space in the first cell. The method further includes receiving, from the BS, a second configuration for scheduling in the first cell, wherein the second configuration is associated with a second search space in a second cell, and wherein the second cell is associated with a different second SCS. The method further includes determining a number of blind detections (BDs) based on at least one of the first SCS or the second SCS, and monitoring, based on the number of BDs, for downlink control information (DCI) in the first and second search spaces.

Control channel decoding configurations for cross-carrier scheduling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration may be independently configured from a unicast communication configuration and a cell-specific communication configuration. The UE may determine one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters according to the group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The communication parameters may include a time resource allocation, a frequency resource allocation, a slot configuration, a downlink reference signal configuration and a resource mapping configuration for receiving multicast/broadcast downlink signals. The UE may receive multicast/broadcast downlink signals from the base station based on the one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters.

Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques and apparatuses for improving reception of concurrent transmissions from different network entities. A user equipment may receive a first instance of a transmission in a first component carrier from a first network entity and also receive a second instance of the transmission in a second component carrier from a second network entity. The UE may then dynamically adjust a number of receivers used for the reception of the first component carrier and the reception of the second component carrier based on whether a receive time difference, between receipt of the first instance of the transmission and receipt of the second instance of the transmission, exceeds a maximum receive time difference (e.g., a cyclic prefix duration of the transmission).

Wireless communications systems and methods related to joint-carrier scheduling using a single downlink control information (DCI) signal. The user equipment (UE) receives from a base station (BS) of a first serving cell, a downlink control information (DCI) that indicates a joint-carrier scheduling scheme. Using the joint-carrier scheduling scheme in the DCI, the UE schedules first data for communication on a first shared channel associated with the first serving cell and second data for communication on a second shared channel associated with a second serving cell.
