Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmission using antenna elements mapped to one or more antenna ports. The UE may transmit a first message to a network entity to indicate antenna ports that are available for wireless communications at the UE. The UE may transmit a second message to the network entity to indicate antenna groups associated with the antenna ports. Each antenna group may include a respective set of one or more antenna elements and may be associated with a respective transmit power threshold. The network entity may select a first antenna group of the one or more antenna groups for the UE to use for uplink transmissions. The UE may transmit, after transmitting the first and second messages, one or more uplink transmissions to the network entity using the first antenna group.

Antenna grouping for power management in wireless communications

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide reference signal configurations including transmission power control offsets for multiple cells. In one example, a network entity obtains a reference signal configuration that comprises one or more transmission power control offsets for a first cell and one or more transmission power control offsets for a second cell.

Downlink power control in wireless communications

Aspects of the present disclosure allow for more efficient rate matching by allowing a triggered A-ZP-CSI-RS set to support rate matching around multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may allow a triggered A-ZP CSI-RS set to be applied to less than all scheduled PDSCH slots when DCI schedules PDSCH on multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may extend CSI-RS resource mapping to span multiple adjacent slots. In another instance, aspects of the present disclosure allow a resource mapping configuration to indicate an initial symbol of a plurality of symbols spanning the plurality of slots for a respective A-ZP-CSI-RS resource. Doing so also allows a PDSCH transmission in a slot among the plurality of slots using a rate matching pattern associated with a set of A-ZP-CSI-RE resources to be received. In addition, aspects of the present disclosure can also add periodicity to A-ZP-CSI-RS resource set configuration.

Aperiodic zero power channel state information reference signal enhancement for multi-slot PDSCH rate matching

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a trigger state associated with a configuration for receiving one or more secondary cell (SCell) activation reference signals. The UE may receive the one or more SCell activation reference signals based at least in part on the configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Configuration of a reference signal for secondary cell activation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station in a wireless communications system. The UE may perform a random access procedure to communicate with the base station. The base station may configure the UE with different sets of preamble parameters for different types of UEs. The UE may generate a random access preamble based on the sets of preamble parameters according to the type of the UE. The base station may indicate a location of the base station to the UE. The UE may identify a location of the UE. The UE may determine a pre-compensation timing based on a distance from the two locations. The UE and the base station may transmit subsequent communication according to the random access preamble, the pre-compensation timing, or any combination thereof.

Flexible random access channel configurations

Apparatuses and methods for single DCI scheduling multi-carrier for multi-slot PXSCHS and multi-SPS/CG PDSCH are described. An apparatus is configured to receive a configuration via RRC signaling, a MAC-CE, or DCI. The configuration is associated with a schedule of a set of CCs including at least two CCs. Each CC of the at least two CCs includes at least two PDSCHs or PUSCHs. The apparatus is also configured to communicate, via the set of CCs, with a network node based on the schedule. Another apparatus is configured to transmit a configuration via RRC signaling, a MAC-CE, or DCI. The configuration is associated with a schedule of a set of CCs including at least two CCs. Each CC of the at least two CCs includes at least two PDSCHs or PUSCHs. The other apparatus is also configured to communicate, via the set of CCs, with a UE based on the schedule.

Single DCI scheduling multi-carrier for multi-slot PXSCHS and multi-SPS/CG PDSCH

A user terminal according to an aspect of the present invention includes a control section that determines a type of particular search space, based on certain information included in a search space configuration, and a receiving section that monitors a control resource set (CORESET) by using the particular search space. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, it is possible to appropriately associate a search space with a CORESET.

User terminal and radio communication method

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information indicating a capability of the UE to receive multicast communications while operating in an inactive state. The UE may receive, from a first cell, configuration information that indicates a common frequency resource (CFR) associated with receiving multicast communications from the first cell while operating in the inactive state. The UE may receive, from the first cell, multicast mobility information associated with receiving multicast communications from one or more neighboring cells while operating in the inactive state. In an aspect, a UE transmits a DSS capability indication to a network entity (e.g., base station), which determines scheduling information for resources of a DSS carrier based on the DSS capability indication. In another aspect, a BS transmits RAT-specific (e.g., LTE-specific) information associated with a DL RS (e.g., LTE CRS) to a UE, which processes the DL RS on a DSS carrier based at least in part on the RAT-specific information.

Additionally, or alternatively, control information transmissions on the first carrier may be provided based on one or more DRX-related timers that are associated with the first carrier, or that are associated with a carrier of another DRX group than the DRX group of the first carrier, or any combinations thereof.

Cross-carrier scheduling techniques for multiple discontinuous reception groups

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling, such as a control message or radio resource control (RRC) signaling, from a base station indicating a time interval over which to determine available power headroom relative to a transmission power threshold. The UE may calculate the available power headroom relative to the transmission power threshold as a function of UE transmission power during the time interval. The UE may transmit a power headroom report in an uplink transmission to the base station, the power headroom report indicating the calculated available power headroom. The base station may schedule one or more uplink messages at the UE according to the available power headroom.

This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for determining numbers of BDs and CCEs for cross-carrier scheduling from a SCell to a PCell/PSCell. A UE may concurrently monitor, on different component carriers, a first PDCCH and a second PDCCH having different SCSs. The PDCCHs may each be configured to schedule PDSCH or PUSCH on a same component carrier of the different component carriers. Each of the PDCCHs may be associated with a respective number of PDCCH candidates or a respective number of non-overlapped CCEs, the respective numbers further associated with respective maximum numbers based on the different SCSs. A first sum of the respective number of PDCCH candidates or a second sum of the non-overlapped CCEs may be less than or equal to N times the lower of the respective maximum numbers.

Number of BD and CCE for cross-carrier scheduling from an S-Cell to a P-Cell

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a multi-cell downlink control information (MC-DCI) that via a scheduling cell may schedule communications for more than one scheduled cells. The overhead of a DCI (e.g., an MC-DCI) may be reduced by compressing or removing the carrier indication field (CIF). For example, radio resource control signaling may indicate, to a UE, a DCI payload size, control channel elements (CCE)s, and/or physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates per scheduled cell or per group of scheduled cells. If the DCI payload sizes, CCEs, and/or PDCCH candidates are different for the scheduled cells indicated in the radio resource control message, the UE may determine to which scheduled cell(s) a DCI received in a PDCCH monitoring occasion applies based on the payload size and/or CCEs of the PDCCH monitoring occasion without using a CIF.

Scheduled cell identification for multi-cell scheduling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor search spaces on a primary cell and an secondary cell in a carrier aggregation configuration. The UE may monitor the search spaces for control information according to a shared search space monitoring configuration. Based on the shared search space monitoring configuration, the UE may identify that the secondary cell is a scheduling cell and the primary cell is a scheduled cell (e.g., cross-carrier scheduling). The UE may monitor control channel candidates of search spaces on the primary cell and on the secondary cell for downlink control information messages scheduling data transmissions with the primary cell. In some examples, the cross-carrier scheduled communications may be configured according to a scheduling configuration, which may include one or more scheduling constraints.
