Provided is a technique for quantitatively evaluating a disentanglement state of fibrous carbon nanostructures in a composite material by a simple method. A method of evaluating a composite material containing a polymer and fibrous carbon nanostructures includes: a step (A) of heating the composite material in an inert gas atmosphere to remove a polymer component from the composite material and obtain a polymer-removed product; a step (B) of performing thermogravimetric analysis of the polymer-removed product in an oxygen-containing atmosphere to measure change over time of mass of the polymer-removed product; and a step (C) of evaluating a disentanglement state of the fibrous carbon nanostructures in the composite material from a relationship between mass change of the polymer-removed product and elapsed time obtained in the step (B).

A vehicle body structure includes: a subframe arranged in front of an occupant compartment; a subframe rear base arranged in a width direction of a vehicle on a lower surface of the occupant compartment; a floor frame arranged in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle on the lower surface of the occupant compartment; a subframe mount part placed at a portion where the subframe rear base overlaps with the floor frame, to support the subframe; a mounting seat formed along a horizontal plane; a fastener to fix the subframe to the mounting seat; and a reinforcing member placed to overlap with the mounting seat. The reinforcing member includes a flange, which is continuous to surround a periphery of the fastener and is arranged in a vertical direction of the vehicle, at a portion thereof closer to the subframe, and outer in the width direction, than the fastener.

A liquid crystal display device includes, in this order from a light source side: a first polarizer; a liquid crystal cell in which an azimuth orientation direction of a liquid crystal substance is altered by an electric field parallel to a display surface; and a second polarizer. Absorption axes of the first and second polarizers are disposed in directions orthogonal to each other. The absorption axis of the first polarizer and an orientation axis of molecules of the liquid crystal substance are disposed in parallel to each other. The device further includes: a first substrate layer between the liquid crystal cell and the first polarizer; and no substrate layer or a second substrate layer as only one layer between the liquid crystal cell and the second polarizer. An in-plane direction of an optical axis of the first substrate layer is parallel to the absorption axis of the first polarizer.

Multilayer retardation film and method for producing same

A damper mounting structure is provided with a top buffer member and a bottom buffer member. The bottom buffer member has a protruding section that protrudes with an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the bottom buffer member. The damper mounting structure mates with the protruding section and is anchored to a vehicle body panel, and is provided with a collar formed at substantially the same height as the height of the protruding section. The corner of an opening formed on the vehicle body panel, which comes into contact with the top buffer member, is chamfered.
