A regeneration control apparatus for controlling, in an exhaust gas treatment apparatus of a diesel engine including a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) disposed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) disposed downstream of the DOC, execution of forced regeneration to remove an exhaust particulate matter (PM) which accumulates on the DPF through a temperature increase of the DPF, includes: a late-post injection amount determination part which determines a late-post injection amount. The late-post injection amount determination part is configured to determine an upper limit value of the late-post injection amount on the basis of an air excess ratio of exhaust gas flowing into the DOC obtained on the basis of a temperature index of the DOC.

A regeneration control device controlling a temperature increase unit of an exhaust gas treatment device including a DOC disposed in an exhaust passage of a diesel engine to regenerate the exhaust gas treatment device includes: a DOC temperature-increase-necessary-state detection part detecting a temperature increase necessary state including at least one of a blockage state, detected on the basis of comparison between a blockage parameter related to blockage of the DOC and a predetermined blockage threshold, of the DOC or a blockage risk state, detected when the diesel engine is in an operating state that is likely to cause blockage of the DOC, of the DOC; and a DOC temperature increase execution part executing a DOC temperature increase control including: a first temperature increase process to control the temperature increase unit, if the temperature increase necessary state of the DOC is detected, so as to increase the temperature of the DOC to a first temperature at which the DOC activates; and a second temperature increase process to control the temperature increase unit after completion of the first temperature increase process so as to increase the temperature of the DOC to a second temperature higher than the first temperature.

Regeneration control device for exhaust gas treatment device

A regeneration control device for an exhaust gas treatment device includes: a DOC blockage risk state determination part configured to determine whether the DOC is in a blockage risk state which is a state where blockage of the DOC is likely to occur, on the basis of comparison between a counter value and a threshold related to an operation time of the diesel engine; a DOC temperature increase execution part configured to execute a blockage recovery process for increasing a temperature of the DOC to a first temperature, if it is determined that the DOC is in the blockage risk state; a DPF forced regeneration condition determination part configured to determine whether a forced regeneration execution condition for the DPF is satisfied; a DPF forced regeneration execution part configured to execute a forced regeneration process for increasing a temperature of the DPF to a second temperature and increasing the temperature of the DOC to the first temperature, if the forced regeneration execution condition is satisfied; and a counter reset process part configured to reset the counter value after completion of the forced regeneration process by the DPF forced regeneration execution part.

An object is to provide a DPF regeneration control device whereby it is possible to prevent clogging of a DOC more efficiently than conventional techniques, and to recover the DOC securely from a clogging condition even if the DOC is actually clogged. A DPF regeneration control device () includes: a DPF temperature-increase unit (A) including a first temperature-increase unit () configured to heat a DPF () to a predetermined temperature, and a second temperature-increase unit () configured to heat the DPF to a temperature higher than the predetermined temperature in cooperation with the first temperature-increase unit; a DOC clogging detection unit (D) configured to detect that a DOC () is clogged if a clogging parameter detected during execution of the automatic regeneration exceeds a clogging threshold value determined in advance for a predetermined period, the clogging parameter being related to clogging of the DOC, and a DOC clogging countermeasure unit (C) configured to stop the automatic regeneration and issue an alert to prompt execution of the manual regeneration, if the clogging of the DOC is detected.

DPF regeneration control device

An object is to prevent excessive temperature rise in a DPF during forced regeneration so that the DPF is prevented from being damaged by heat erosion or cracking and preventing a frequency of the forced regeneration from increasing so that degradation of fuel efficiency and oil dilution are reduced, in an exhaust gas purification device which removes PM in exhaust gas. A first determination unit () which determines whether an exhaust gas flowrate is smaller than a first threshold and is equal to or larger than a second threshold smaller than the first threshold, during forced regeneration processing by a forced regeneration control unit (); an exhaust gas increasing control unit () which controls the intake throttle valve in such a manner that the exhaust gas flowrate is increased when the first determination unit () determines that the exhaust gas flowrate is smaller than the first threshold and is equal to or larger than the second threshold; a second determination unit () which determines an operation state of the exhaust gas flowrate smaller than the second threshold; and a forced regeneration interrupting unit () which interrupts the forced regeneration processing when the second determination unit () determines that the exhaust gas flowrate is smaller than the second threshold, are provided.

Exhaust gas purification device for an internal combustion engine

In an exhaust gas treatment method for an internal combustion engine, a DPF abnormal combustion causing operation is determined to have occurred when the internal combustion engine shifts from a high rotation or high load operation region &#x3b1; to a low rotation, low load operation region &#x3b2; within a set time T. When it is determined that a DPF abnormal combustion causing operation has occurred, abnormal combustion of PM collected in the DPF is suppressed by fully opening an intake throttle valve () in order to increase an exhaust gas flow so that heat is removed by sensible heat of the exhaust gas, thereby cooling a DPF device (), and continuing a late post-injection in order to reduce an oxygen concentration of the DPF.

Aftertreatment system and control strategy for internal combustion engine

An exhaust gas purification device for an engine has a filter in an engine exhaust passage, a diesel oxidation catalyst upstream of the filter, and a control unit which effects combustion using the catalyst to perform Active Regeneration of the filter by injecting fuel when no contribution is made to combustion in a combustion chamber when the quantity of particles collected in the filter reaches a predetermined quantity, or is less than the predetermined quantity and an elapsed time from the last filter reconditioning reaches a predetermined time. In the control unit, a mixing quantity of the fuel in oil at Active Regeneration and an evaporation quantity of the fuel from the oil are calculated, whereby a mixing ratio of the fuel in the oil is calculated, and the predetermined time or an engine operation mode is adjusted such that the mixing ratio does not exceed a prescribed control value.

Exhaust gas purification device for internal combustion engine
