A chain drive is disposed adjacent to the intermediate wall. The chain drive transmits a driving force from an input member and/or a rotary electric machine to an oil pump. There is provided an oil guide through which oil flowing through the return oil hole is guided to a region other than a chain placement region inside a case. The chain placement region is a region where a chain of the chain drive is placed.

A hydraulic control apparatus for an automatic transmission has a circulating oil supply passage that supplies circulating oil to a starting apparatus, a circulating oil discharge passage that discharges circulating oil from the starting apparatus, and a speed change mechanism oil supply passage that supplies oil to a speed change mechanism. The oil discharged from an oil pump is supplied to the starting apparatus and the speed change mechanism. A first flow rate changing device that can change the flow rate of the circulating oil is arranged in the circulating oil discharge passage. A first flow rate instructing portion output a command to the flow rate changing device to change the flow rate when the amount of oil discharged from the oil pump is low, and reduces the flow rate to the starting apparatus, which enables the hydraulic pressure necessary for shifting to be obtained in the speed change mechanism.

Hydraulic control apparatus for automatic transmission

A hydraulic circuit for supplying hydraulic pressure to frictional engagement elements in an automatic transmission including an oil passage connecting an output port through which a drive pressure is output, and a second signal pressure port, of a second clutch application relay valve, and an oil passage connecting an output port through which a modulator pressure is output and the second signal pressure port, are formed in a valve body and arranged such that it is possible to open the oil passage, as well as close the oil passage, with an oil passage closing member. A hydraulic control apparatus of an automatic transmission including a switching portion which, at the same time as a reverse range pressure oil passage and a discharge delay oil passage which delays an oil pressure output are connected, causes the reverse range pressure oil passage and discharge delay oil passage, by switching between the two, in order to communicate with a hydraulic servo. Because of this arrangement, it is difficult for oil, when discharged from the hydraulic servo, to drain at an R-N switching time, and it is easy for oil to drain in the D range or the like.
