A steering control device controls a steering device. The steering device includes a steering shaft, a turning wheel of a vehicle, the turning wheel turning due to rotation of the steering shaft, and a motor rotating the steering shaft. The steering control device includes a processor that executes a traveling environment information acquisition process and a look-ahead compensation process. In the traveling environment information acquisition process, the processor acquires information relevant to a traveling environment of the vehicle. In the look-ahead compensation process, the processor preliminarily rotates the steering shaft depending on a play compensation amount relevant to a predetermined turn direction. The processor determines an appropriate turn direction for the vehicle, as the predetermined turn direction, from the information relevant to the traveling environment.

Steering control device

A steering control device is configured to control a steering device. The steering device includes a steering wheel, a steering shaft coupled to the steering wheel, a turning wheel of a vehicle, and a motor configured to rotate the steering shaft. The turning wheel is configured to turn along with rotation of the steering shaft. The steering control device includes a processor. The processor is configured to execute an alarm information acquisition process of acquiring information indicating that an alarm needs to be issued to a driver of the vehicle, and a vibration process of vibrating the steering wheel in a predetermined region by operating the motor, in a situation where the alarm needs to be issued. The predetermined region is a region where a turning angle of the turning wheel does not change even when the steering wheel rotates.

A steering control device that controls a steering device, includes a processing unit. The processing unit executes; a target rudder angle variable acquisition process of acquiring a value of a target rudder angle variable, an attention information acquisition process, a target rudder angle correction process of correcting the value of the target rudder angle variable by a play compensation amount corresponding to a steering direction, a restriction process of restricting the correction of the value of the target rudder angle variable by the play compensation amount depending on the information, and a rudder angle control process of operating a motor. In the rudder angle control process a steering angle depending on a rotation angle of a steering shaft is adopted as a control amount and the value of the target rudder angle variable is adopted as a target value of the control amount.

A lane departure suppression device including a control unit that executes a lane departure suppression control (automatic steering of the steering wheel and/or a warning being issued) when it is determined that there is a possibility that a vehicle departs from a lane. The control unit does not execute the lane departure suppression control when the control unit determines that a lateral speed and a lateral acceleration of the vehicle are increased within a predetermined time from a time point at which acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle is started, and that there is an adjacent lane on a side with respect to the lane in which the lateral speed and the lateral acceleration are increased.

Lane departure suppression device

A driver support device includes: a drive device configured to change a steering angle being an angle of a steered wheel of a vehicle by applying torque to a steering shaft coupled to a steering wheel of the vehicle; and a control unit. The control unit executes lane departure avoidance control controlling the drive device to change the steering angle to avoid departure of the vehicle from a traveling lane when a start condition is satisfied, and is configured to execute the lane departure avoidance control such that, when a holding position of the steering wheel by a driver does not meet a predetermined specific condition upon satisfaction of the start condition, a magnitude of a steering angular velocity being an amount of change in the steering angle per unit time is smaller than the magnitude when the holding position meets the specific condition upon satisfaction of the start condition.

Driver support device

A lane departure avoidance device includes a control unit that executes a lane departure prevention control by at least one of automatically turning a turning wheel and issuing an alarm, when it is determined that there is a possibility that a vehicle crosses a lane border and a driver has no intention of performing a lane departure, and that suspends executing the lane departure prevention control, when it is determined that there is a possibility that the vehicle crosses the lane border and the driver intentions to perform the lane departure. The control unit continues to suspend executing the lane departure prevention control, when it is determined that there is another lane border on a side that the vehicle approaches and that a distance from the vehicle to the other lane border is a reference distance or more, in a situation where executing the lane departure prevention control is suspended.

Lane departure avoidance device

A lane departure prevention device includes a control unit that executes lane keeping control (automatic steering of a steering wheel and/or issuing of a warning) when it is determined that a vehicle may move out of a lane. The control unit withholds execution of the lane keeping control until it is determined that a return-to-control condition is satisfied when it is determined that a driver has gone from showing no intention to move out of the lane to showing an intention to move out of the lane to cross a first lane boundary. The control unit continues, when it is determined that the vehicle is approaching a second white line present in a traveling direction with a speed equal to or faster than a reference value, continues withholding the execution of the lane keeping control even when it is determined that the return-to-control condition is satisfied.
