A ventilation fan includes a body unit, which has a fan disposed in a body case and a fan controller operable to control an air volume of the fan. The ventilation fan also includes a sensor module having an indoor environment detecting sensor and a module controller operable to control a detecting operation of the indoor environment detecting sensor. The body unit has a module mount on which the sensor module is mounted and another sensor module can be mounted in place of the sensor module. The module mount is connected to the fan controller. The module controller outputs detection information obtained based on a detection result of the indoor environment detecting sensor to the fan controller, which in turn controls the air volume of the fan based on the detection information inputted thereto.

Ventilation fan and ventilation system

A home appliance management system includes an outlet plug, a home appliance, and a control terminal. The outlet plug includes a position information storage which stores position information and a position information transmitting unit. The home appliance includes a position information receiving unit, a function providing unit, a type information storage, and a position and type information transmitting unit. The control terminal includes a position and type information receiving unit, a position and type information storage, an operating condition determining unit, and an operation controller.

A ventilation device includes AC voltage estimation unit () for estimating an AC voltage, based on a DC voltage detected by voltage detection unit () and a current detected by current detection unit (). Air volume computation unit () determines a rotation speed of a motor, based on the AC voltage estimated by AC voltage estimation unit () and a target air volume output from a target air volume computation unit.

Ventilation device

Between the lower stage in respective phases of inverter circuit and the negative potential side, shunt resistors are inserted for respective phases. The potential differences across shunt resistors occurring by current flowing through shunt resistors are amplified by amplifier unit. From the output of amplifier unit, current detecting unit detects current of each phase flowing through motor formed by a sensorless brushless DC motor. Rotation detecting unit calculates the rotation speed and position of motor based on the current detected by current detecting unit. This structure makes it possible to directly detect solely the current flowing through the windings of motor. Therefore, it becomes possible to accurately detect the current of the motor windings, and the ventilation device can maintain the ventilation air volume from a small air volume to a large air volume always at a constant value.
