The bipolar secondary battery includes a power generation element including unit power generation elements stacked together and including bipolar electrodes stacked via separators, and current collecting plates arranged at both ends of the power generation element in the stacked direction of the unit power generation elements so as to be in contact with the power generation element, wherein the current collecting plates each include an electrically conductive layer and a resin film, the electrically conductive layer being formed on the resin film having a thermal shrinkage percentage of 2% or greater at a temperature of 150&#xb0; C., and the separators have a higher thermal shrinkage start temperature than the resin films.

Bipolar secondary battery

A secondary battery is provided with a power generation element, an electroconductive member, an external short circuit, a current detector and an external discharge safety circuit. The power generation element has a unit cell layer that includes a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode stacked in that order. The electroconductive member is disposed on one outward side of the power generation element with an insulation member interposed therebetween. A lead wire connects the electroconductive member with the negative electrode tab. The current detector detects whether or not current is flowing to the lead wire. The external discharge safety circuit is provided to short-circuits a path between the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab outside the power generation element while current detector detects a current.

An electrode for a cell includes a resin current collector that is planate and contains a resin and an electrically conductive filler, and an electrode active material layer that is disposed on at least one surface side of the resin current collector and that contains electrode active material particles. A catalyst particle () for a fuel cell according to the present invention includes: a metal particle () composed of either one of metal other than noble metal and an alloy of the metal other than the noble metal and the noble metal; and a noble metal layer () that is provided on a surface of the metal particle and has a thickness of 1 nm to 3.2 nm. By the fact that the catalyst particle for a fuel cell has such a configuration, the catalyst particle can enhance catalytic activity while reducing an amount of the noble metal. The catalyst particle () for a fuel cell according to the present invention can enhance the catalytic activity while reducing the amount of the noble metal.

Catalyst particles for fuel cells and method for producing same

An anode () and a cathode (), interposing a solid polymer film (), are disposed. While supplying purified water from a supply port () of an anode chamber (), wherein the anode () is disposed, and a supply port () of a cathode chamber (), wherein the cathode () is disposed, direct electric current is applied between the anode () and the cathode (). As a result, ozone-water is discharged from an outlet port () of the anode chamber (). In such an electrolysis cell (), a free-standing conductive diamond plate, formed by microwave plasma assisted CVD so as to have a thickness of 0.8 mm, is used as the anode (). The diamond plate is provided with holes, having a diameter of 1 mm and disposed such that a center distance therebetween becomes 2 mm. Therefore, the electrolysis cell () can stably produce ozone without causing exfoliation of the anode (), even when high voltage and large current are applied between the anode () and the cathode ().

Electrode, ozone generator, and ozone production method

A method for producing ozone-water includes steps of providing a cathode and an anode so as to interpose a solid polymer film therebetween, and electrolyzing water. A conductive diamond having one of a porous structure and a mesh structure is used as the anode. Ozone-water of an intermediate to high temperature is produced by electrolyzing water of an intermediate to high temperature.
