An oil passage obstruction wall member (W) is configured to obstruct an oil passage having plural pathways configured to communicate plural oil supply openings () at plural locations on an outer circumference of an end cap () included in a linear guide device arranged such that a bottom face of a guide rail is arranged on a face slanted at an angle ranging from 0 degrees to 180 degrees with respect to a plane face, with a direction change passage () configured to communicate a rolling element rolling passage formed between the guide rail and the slider body with a rolling element return passage included in the slider body. The oil passage obstruction wall member (W) is selectively opened depending on the angle of the face on which the bottom face of the guide rail is arranged to selectively communicate the direction change passage () and the oil supply openings ().

End cap, and linear guide device including the end cap

A linear guide apparatus is provided in which an excellent sealing performance is achieved. The linear guide apparatus includes a retainer for retaining plural cylindrical rollers rotatably in a rolling element rolling passage. The retainer includes an opening portion and accommodates for retention of the plural cylindrical rollers in the opening portion. The retainer also includes an endless seal unit surrounding the opening portion. The seal unit includes an inward facing lip inclining toward the inner side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail. The inward facing lip is formed continuously all around the seal unit. The seal unit includes an outward facing lip inclining toward the outer side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail, in addition to the inward facing lip.

Linear guide apparatus

A linear guide device includes a guide rail, a slider, and a side seal member attached to an axial direction end part of the slider. The side seal member is formed integrally and has a flat surface facing the guide rail. A clearance between the side seal member and the guide rail is kept the same on a whole of the side seal member, and a thickness in the axial direction of the side seal member is 25 to 140 times the clearance.

Linear guide device

A non-contact seal device is provided such that when attaching an end seal to a slider, positioning members can be used for positioning in the vertical and horizontal directions. Due to this, the end seal can be positioned with respect to the outer surfaces of the guide rail without using a specialized positioning fixture and then attach the end seal to the slider. Further, the projecting length of the positioning members is the same as the distance of the clearance between the guide rail and the end seal. Due to this, it becomes possible to attach the end seal to the slider so that the clearance between the guide rail and the end seal becomes the same as the distance of the clearance without using a specialized positioning fixture.
