An image recording apparatus includes: a first housing comprising a recording portion and a first control device; a second housing comprising a second control device and supported by the first housing to be rotationally movable between a close position and a distant position by rotationally moving about a first axis extending in a first direction; a first cable and a second cable electrically connecting the first control device to the second control device; and a holder having a supported portion and holding the first cable and the second cable. In the first housing, at least a part of the holder extends in a second direction and the holder holds the first cable and the second cable such that the first cable and the second cable extend in the second direction and are respectively disposed at positions different from each other in the first direction and in a third direction.

The opening and closing apparatus includes a lower unit case, an upper unit case, a hinge, a lower guide member, an upper guide member and an opening/closing linking unit. The upper unit case is configured to open and close with respect to the lower unit case. The lower guide member is disposed in the lower unit case, and the upper guide member is disposed in the upper unit case. The opening/closing linking unit includes a first rotating member, a second rotating member and a linking portion. As the upper unit case is closed, the opening/closing linking unit moves from the base end side toward the distal end side along the upper guide member and the lower guide member.

An image scanning device includes: a main body that has a box-shaped appearance having a front face and a back face; a flat bed scanner unit that is mounted on the main body to be rotatable around an axis provided near the back face along a width direction of the main body; and a stopper that supports the flat bed scanner unit in an opened state. The stopper includes: a base end that is rotatably attached to an upper portion of the main body; and a leading end that is slidably attached to the flat bed scanner unit. A casing of the flat bed scanner is provided with a stopper accommodating portion that is recessed from a bottom surface of the casing. The stopper accommodating portion accommodates the stopper above the bottom surface in a closed state where the flat bed scanner unit is closed.

An image recording apparatus has an apparatus body; a display unit; a first axis, a first bearing, a second axis and a second bearing which support the display unit pivotably to the apparatus body; a separate part which is formed unintegrally from the apparatus body, to which the first axis or the first bearing is attached, and which has a key; and an engaging part which is provided to the apparatus body and which extends along a surface of the apparatus body, and which is formed with a receiving part formed for receiving the key; wherein the key has been engaged with the receiving part. Accordingly, the separate part is firmly and tightly fixed to the apparatus body, and the display unit is pivotally supported to the apparatus body in a firm and tight manner.

An image recording apparatus includes an image recording unit that records an image on a recording medium; a supply unit that supplies a recording medium to the image recording unit; a discharging unit that discharges the recording medium having the image recorded thereon to an outside of the image recording apparatus; and a control unit having a circuit board that controls a driving of the image recording unit. The control unit is in alignment with the image recording unit at at least one of an upper side of the supply unit and the discharge unit within a height of the located image recording unit.

A multifunctional device including a lower frame, a main control board, and a cartridge holder. A conveying space is formed in the lower frame farther forward than a recording unit and includes a discharge space for receiving discharged recording sheet. The main control board is disposed horizontally above the conveying space when viewed from the front. The recording unit is disposed farther rearward than the conveying space, with its topmost part substantially equal in height to the main control board. The cartridge holder is disposed to the side of the conveying space and the main control board and fits vertically within the top part.

A sheet presser including two pivot shaft portions fixedly disposed substantially coaxially with each other and parallel to a sheet of a document conveyed in a direction; a pressing member mounted on the shaft portions; a biasing member biasing the pressing member around the shaft portions in a direction to press the sheet; the pressing member having two elongate bearing bores each long in a direction substantially perpendicular to a surface of the sheet, which are formed in respective portions which are distant in a lateral direction of the pressing member to bear the shaft portions; and the biasing member biasing the pressing member such that at least one of the shaft portions is held in contact with one end of the bearing bore which is away from the sheet, so that an acute angle formed between the conveyance direction and the pressing member is within a predetermined range.

Sheet presser and image scanner

An electronic apparatus includes a main body; a display portion, a responsive member and a frictional sliding member. The display portion is supported by the main body rotatably about an axis of a rotary shaft so as to extend and retract with respect to the main body. The responsive member reciprocates in a guide groove formed in the main body as a result of the extension and retraction of the display portion. The responsive member includes a first end rotatably attached to a rear side of the display portion at a position offset from the axis of the rotary shaft, and a second end including with an engagement piece engaged with the guide groove. The frictional sliding member is disposed along the guide groove and, when compressed by the engagement piece of the responsive member, the frictional sliding member applies a frictional force to the reciprocating responsive member. An image forming apparatus may include such an electronic apparatus.

A holder that is detachably attachable to a casing of a communication apparatus, including: a placement surface on which a handset can be placed; a first side surface; a displacement unit that is displaced in response to an act of placing the handset on the placement surface; a lever that is displaced according to a displacement of the displacement unit, the lever being projected in a first direction by a first distance from the first side surface; and an engagement portion being projected substantially in the first direction by a second distance, which is longer than the first distance, from the first side surface, the engagement portion engaging the holder with the casing.

Holder and communication apparatus

An ink ribbon feeder for use in a facsimile machine has a feed roll winding thereover an ink ribbon and a take-up roll for taking-up the ink ribbon fed from the feed roll. A friction mechanism is provided at one end of the take-up roll for rotating the take-up roll in a taking-up direction. A back tension mechanism is provided at one end of the feed roll for rotating the feed roll in a direction opposite the taking-up direction. The friction mechanism and the back tension mechanism are provided at the same side of the ink ribbon. A separation segment is provided between the feed roll and the take-up roll and is positioned below the ink ribbon and in contact therewith. The separation segment has a sliding surface extending in a widthwise direction of the ink ribbon. A height of one and another ends of the sliding surface is different from each other.
