An irradiation device includes a first LED row having a plurality of LEDs aligned in one row and electrically connected in series, and a second LED row having a plurality of LEDs aligned in one row and electrically connected in series. The first LED row and the second LED row are aligned adjacent to each other in a direction that crosses an array direction of the LEDs of the first LED row. A direction of current flowing in the first LED row is opposite to a direction of current flowing in the second LED row.

Irradiation device and image recording device

A first irradiation section has a light source and an emitting member. The light source generates radiation, and the emitting member is located between a first irradiation point and a virtual plane that extends through the edge of a nozzle surface closest to the first irradiation section tangentially to a curved surface. The radiation generated by the light source goes out through the emitting member. A control section controls a transportation speed in such a manner that ink dots formed at a dot formation point should move to the first irradiation point in a second time period that is equal to or shorter than a first time period. The first time period is the time period from the time immediately after the ink dots are formed to the time when the diameter of the ink dots reaches twice the nozzle pitch.

Image recording apparatus

An image recording apparatus includes a first print head that discharges a first liquid that is cured through irradiation of light from a nozzle towards the recording medium; a second print head that discharges a second liquid in which a content rate of a tri-functional or higher polyfunctional monomer is different from that of the first liquid and that is cured through irradiation of light from a nozzle towards the recording medium, and is provided at a different position in the transport direction from the first print head; and an irradiator that irradiates the recording medium with light, and is arranged between the print heads in the transport direction, in which the irradiator emits light having directionality in a direction receding in the transport direction from a print head that discharges a liquid with a higher content rate from the print heads.

An outgoing path port and a returning path port of a circulation path are at a position that is lower than a printing head. The outgoing path port and a discharge port of a discharge path are at a position that is lower than the returning path port. When ink droplets are ejected from the printing head, ink is pumped from a main tank to a sub tank using a supply pump, and ink is pumped from the outgoing path port to the printing head using a circulation pump with an opening and closing valve open and an opening and closing valve closed. In a case where discharge of ink in the sub tank and a circulation path is instructed before replacing of an ink unit, ink is pumped from the outgoing path port to a junction side using the circulation pump with both of the valves open.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting device includes a nozzle group formed by aligning nozzles that eject a liquid, and a liquid ejecting head that ejects liquids from the nozzles based on ejection serial data that represents ejection or non-ejection of each nozzle of the nozzle group. The liquid ejecting head ejects a liquid to a landing target while the liquid ejecting head and the landing target are relatively moved in a second direction that is perpendicular to a first direction in which the nozzles are aligned. The liquid ejecting device further includes a meandering correction pattern forming unit that forms a meandering correction pattern along the second direction in a margin outside the regulated landing area of the landing target and a meandering correction pattern detecting unit that detects the meandering correction pattern formed in the landing target by the meandering correction pattern forming unit.

In a recording material guiding device, a second guide member is comprised of a hopper swinging surface, an edge guide member including a second side end guide member, and a liftup preventing guide. The hopper swinging surface is engaged in an opening provided in a side surface of a reference end guide serving as a first guide member. The second guide member can be slid in a main scanning direction with respect to the reference end guide (first guide member). During recording, a gap can be formed between the second side end guide member and a side end of the recording paper by sliding the second side end guide member from a first position to a second position, so that frictional contact can be prevented at the side end of the recording paper on the second side end guide member side.

A feeder is adapted to feed a medium to a down stream section in a first direction. A feeding tray has a supporting face adapted to support the medium thereon and formed with a groove. A first edge guide is provided on the supporting face so as to be slidable in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A second edge guide is provided on the supporting face so as to oppose to the first edge guide, so that the medium is placed therebetween. An auxiliary guide body is provided in the first edge guide and having a projection slidably engaged with the groove, the auxiliary guide body being slidable relative to the first edge guide in the first direction and a third direction opposite to the first direction, in accordance with the slide movement of the first edge guide in the second direction by way of the engagement between the projection and the groove. The auxiliary guide body has a guiding face projected from the first edge guide in the first direction when a distance between the first edge guide and the second edge guide is no greater than a first prescribed value and adapted to be brought into contact with one of the side edges of the medium.

A feeding tray supports a plurality of media the media thereon. A hopper is provided on the feeding tray so as to be movable in a first direction for pushing the media toward a feeding roller so that a top one of the media comes in contact with the feeding roller, and in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A separator separates a first group including at least one of the media which is situated under the top one of the media from the top one, so that only the top one is fed to the downstream section by rotation of the feeding roller. A returning lever is pivotable interlockingly with the feeding roller and adapted to return a second group including at least one of the media in the first group, which has been proceeded from a prescribed position to the downstream section together with the top one of the media, to the feeding tray. A holder supports a third group including at least one of the media in the first group which is situated under the second group. The holder is slidable in the second direction interlockingly with the movement of the hopper in the second direction to move the third group toward the feeding tray to secure a space to which the second group is returned by the returning lever.
