A system of an interconnected inverter includes an inverter that converts DC power from a DC power supply into AC power and provides AC power to an AC power line, an RDC that converts a voltage value obtained by a voltage sensor into electrical angle information that shows a phase angle of an output voltage, the voltage sensor obtaining a voltage value of an output voltage from the inverter to a power grid, and an ECU that controls the inverter to provide an alternating current in synchronization with an alternating current that flows through the AC power line by using timing at which an angle shown in the electrical angle information given from the RDC attains to a prescribed angle. Extra cost for diversion can be reduced.

An interconnected inverter system includes an inverter circuit that converts DC power from a DC power supply into AC power and provides AC power to an AC power line, a voltage sensor that detects a voltage of DC power on a DC power supply side of the inverter circuit, a DC current sensor that detects a current of DC power on the DC power supply side of the inverter circuit, and a motor ECU that controls the inverter circuit. A controller of an electrically powered vehicle includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit performs a switching control by a square wave control in a first switching mode when a rotation speed of the motor is equal to or higher than a first predetermined rotation speed. The present invention is intended to discriminate between a battery voltage sensor and the input voltage sensor of a converter for abnormality, without stopping the step-up operation of the converter. A voltage conversion device is provided with a battery, a converter, a battery voltage sensor, a voltage sensor for detecting the input voltage of the converter, a current sensor for detecting a reactor current, and a control unit. The control unit determines the abnormality of the battery voltage sensor or the input voltage sensor on the basis of an estimated value of input voltage calculated based on the reactor current, the input voltage of the converter and a battery voltage, without stopping the step-up operation of the converter.

A PM-ECU sets a torque command value of the second MG such that requested driving force for an entire vehicle is exerted on a drive shaft. An MG-ECU estimates, based on a rotation speed of the second MG, a magnitude of a drag torque acting as rotational resistance when the second MG rotates at zero torque, and stops the inverter in accordance with a difference between the estimated drag torque and the torque command value.

A controller controls switching of IGBT devices of an inverter according to the desired output of the permanent magnet motor. The controller includes: a magnet temperature detection device that detects the magnet temperature of the permanent magnet motor based on the output of a temperature sensor; a setting device that sets a threshold value of the magnet temperature corresponding to the desired output of the permanent magnet motor, based on a predetermined relation between the output from the permanent magnet motor and a critical temperature, up to which demagnetization in the permanent magnet motor is not caused; and a carrier frequency control device that, when the magnet temperature detected by the magnet temperature detection device exceeds the threshold value, changes the carrier frequency, at which the IGBT devices are switched, such that a ripple current superimposed on a motor current that flows through the permanent magnet motor is reduced.

When load driving force is applied from the power source to a power shaft in a condition where the power shaft and a driveshaft are disconnected from each other by the connecting and disconnecting device, lock control is executed to control the motor by fixing a direction of a magnetic field of a stator so as to restrict rotation of a rotor. When the rotor rotates during execution of the lock control, rotation retardation control is executed to control the motor by rotating the direction of the stator magnetic field in accordance with rotation of the rotor, so that driving force is applied from the motor to the power shaft in a direction opposite to that of the load driving force as driving force applied from the power source to the power shaft.
