An assembly of rare earth magnet pieces is prepared by placing two rare earth magnet pieces at their side surfaces in abutment so that top surfaces of magnet pieces are disposed adjacent to each other across the abutment interface, and forming a coating on the adjacent surfaces of magnet pieces, the coating continuously extending across abutment interface and over adjacent surfaces for thereby tightly joining the abutted magnet pieces together.

Rare earth magnet assembly and preparation method

A method for recycling a rare earth magnet is described. The rare earth magnet has a film containing Ni on the surface thereof, and the method involves immersing the rare earth magnet in a stripping solution containing a derivative of nitrobenzene, ethylenediamine, and ammonia. This strips the Ni on the surface of the rare earth magnet without deteriorating the characteristics of the rare earth magnet, thereby improving its product yield.

Method for recycling rare earth sintered magnet

Provided is a rare earth magnet, on the surface of which a coating film of an ultraviolet cured resin is formed by covering the surface of the rare earth magnet with an ultraviolet curable resin composition and subsequently curing the ultraviolet curable resin composition by irradiating the ultraviolet curable resin composition with ultraviolet light. Method for forming coating film on rare earth magnet surface, and rare earth magnet

A sintered magnet sawing apparatus is provided comprising a cylindrical work carrier mounted on a horizontal rotating spindle and having a regular polygonal shape in a perpendicular cross section, and a plurality of endless elastic belts adapted to force a work of sintered magnet against the carrier surface to secure the work thereto and adapted to travel synchronously with and counter to the rotation of the carrier in a circulatory manner. In accordance with rotation of the carrier, the work is delivered to the peripheral surface of the carrier, secured thereto by the elastic belts, moved further forward and cutoff machined by an outer cutoff blade. The divided work is moved further forward, released and discharged from the carrier.

Apparatus and method for cutoff machining sintered magnet

A sintered magnet sawing apparatus is provided comprising a cylindrical work carrier mounted on a horizontal rotating spindle and having a regular polygonal shape in a perpendicular cross section, and a plurality endless elastic belts adapted to force a work of sintered magnet against the carrier surface to secure the work thereto and adapted to travel synchronously with and counter to the rotation of the carrier in a circulatory manner. In accordance with rotation of the carrier, the work is delivered to the peripheral surface of the carrier, secured thereto by the elastic belts, moved further forward and cutoff machined by an outer cutoff blade. The divided work is moved further forward, released and discharged from the carrier.

A rare earth magnet block is cutoff machined into pieces by rotating cutoff abrasive blades. Improvements are made by setting the blades on one side of the magnet block, rotating the blades, starting machining operation to form cutting grooves in the magnet block from one side, interrupting the machining operation, moving the blades to the other side of the magnet block, and restarting the machining operation to form cutting grooves in the magnet block from the other side, until the cutting grooves formed from the one and other sides merge with each other.

Method for multiple cutoff machining of rare earth sintered magnet

A fastening jig for securing a magnet block (M) when the magnet block is cutoff machined into pieces is provided, the jig comprising a lower clamp () on which the magnet block is rested, an upper clamp () disposed on the magnet block, and a press unit () for pressing the clamps to apply a pressing force to the magnet block. A portion of the lower clamp () which is disposed adjacent to the magnet block is provided with a generally horizontal channel () to define a resilient cantilever (), whereby the magnet block is held between the clamps by the repulsion force of the cantilever ().

A rare earth magnet block is cutoff machined into pieces by rotating a plurality of cutoff abrasive blades. Improvements are made by starting the machining operation from the upper surface of the magnet block downward, interrupting the machining operation, turning the magnet block upside down, placing the magnet block such that the cutoff grooves formed before and after the upside-down turning may be aligned with each other, and restarting the machining operation from the upper surface of the upside-down magnet block downward until the cutoff grooves formed before and after the upside-down turning merge with each other.

In a method for multiple cutoff machining a rare earth magnet block, a cutting fluid feed nozzle having a plurality of slits is combined with a plurality of cutoff abrasive blades coaxially mounted on a rotating shaft, each said blade comprising a base disk and a peripheral cutting part. The slits in the feed nozzle into which the outer peripheral portions of cutoff abrasive blades are inserted serve to restrict any axial run-out of the cutoff abrasive blades during rotation. Cutting fluid is fed from the feed nozzle through slits to the rotating cutoff abrasive blades and eventually to points of cutoff machining on the magnet block.
