A counterweight () is attached to the rear side of a revolving frame (), and an engine () is mounted in a transverse direction in front of the counterweight (). A heat exchanger () is located on the left side of the engine (), and a left-hand side door () is located on the left side of the heat exchanger (). An air cleaner () is accommodated in an air cleaner chamber () which is provided in a space enclosed by the counterweight, left-hand side door and heat exchanger. In this state, a casing () of the air cleaner has an opening portion (A) to permit insertion and extraction of a filter element (). Thus, at the time of a maintenance work for the air cleaner, one can draw out the filter element from the opening portion of the casing simply by opening the left-hand side door.

Construction machine

A swing mechanism for a construction machine having a grease bath seal. A grease bath can be disposed on a vehicular base carrier of the machine, and can be coupled with a swing frame. The grease bath seal can then act to prevent intrusion of pollutants or other foreign materials into the grease bath. An air conditioner duct being suitable for connection with an air conditioner arranged in a cab. The air conditioner duct is provided with an air outlet member, which includes an air release portion for releasing air into the cab and plural fins for guiding air to the air release portion. The air outlet member comprises a turnable air outlet member shaped to enclose a duct portion, to which the turnable air outlet member is connected, and is turnable relative to the duct portion.
