A pressure reducing valve includes a body, an annular valve seat, a valve element, and a pressing mechanism configured to press the valve element. The pressing mechanism includes a plug provided downstream of the valve seat and having a plug hole, and a pin including a sliding portion and an upstream end, the sliding portion having a shaft shape and being inserted in the plug hole such that a gap is provided between the sliding portion and an inner peripheral surface of the plug hole, and the upstream end being provided upstream of the sliding portion so as to contact the valve element. A fitting length of the sliding portion with respect to the plug hole and the gap between the sliding portion and the plug hole satisfy 0.0005 L&#x3c;C&#x3c;0.00908 L, where L indicates the fitting length, and C indicates the gap.

Pressure reducing valve

A valve main unit, in which a high pressure valve is to be provided, includes a channel for hydrogen gas. An internal surface of the channel is constituted by an oxidation layer formed by performing anodizing on an aluminum-based alloy. The oxidation layer of the channel is formed by performing the anodizing under a condition in which the oxidation layer with a thickness of 8 &#x3bc;m or less is formed at an external surface of the valve main unit, the external surface having an opening communicating with the channel.

Valve main unit and method of manufacturing the same

A valve device includes: a poppet that is formed in a hollow shaft shape except for a leading end, has a tapered closure part at the leading end and a side hole passing through a wall of the hollow shaft-shaped part, and rotates around a shaft center thereof during opening and closing actions; and a valve seat having a sloped seat surface with which the closure part of the poppet comes into contact when closing the valve device. The closure part of the poppet or the seat surface of the valve seat, whichever has a higher hardness, has a cut mark of the opposite direction from a direction of rotation of the poppet around the shaft center that occurs during the valve closing action.

A hard magnetic material formed of material powders made of a R&#x2014;Fe&#x2014;N compound containing a light rare earth element as R, or material powders made of a Fe&#x2014;N compound is used as material powders. There is formed a compact in which a density of the hard magnetic material powders differs between an outer face side portion and an inside portion of the compact such that a rate of progress of powder bonding due to microwave heating is higher in the inside portion of the compact than in the outer face side portion of the compact when an outer face of the compact is irradiated with microwaves. Then, the outer face of the compact is irradiated with the microwaves to cause the microwave heating, thereby bonding the hard magnetic material powders by oxide films which are formed on the hard magnetic material powders.

Method of manufacturing magnet, and magnet

A grinding machine rotatably carrying a finish grinding wheel and a super-finish grinding wheel respectively on first and second wheel heads practices a method of grinding workpiece surfaces to super-finish surfaces with micro oil pockets. A surface of a workpiece rotatably carried on the machine is first ground with the finish grinding wheel to a predetermined diameter under the control of a sizing device. The workpiece surface is then ground with the super-finish grinding wheel to a target diameter under the control of a sizing device. The super-finish grinding is performed to the extent that peaks of a section curve representing the roughness of the workpiece surface attained by the finish grinding are removed but bottoms of the surface curve are left to a depth when the target diameter is reached, so that the bottoms so left of the roughness constitute the micro oil pockets.

Method and apparatus for grinding workpiece surfaces to super-finish surface with micro oil pockets

A hydraulic bearing device includes a cylindrical bearing metal, a groove-like pocket, a dynamic pressure generation land, a fluid flowing space and an oil supply hole. The cylindrical bearing metal supports a rotating shaft. The pocket is formed in an inner peripheral surface of the bearing metal. The pocket defines the dynamic pressure generation land. The fluid flowing space is formed in the dynamic pressure generation land. The oil supply hole supplies fluid from a fluid pressure source to the pocket and the fluid flowing space. The dynamic pressure generation land which has been heated due to fluid friction is cooled by the fluid passing through the fluid flowing space formed in the dynamic pressure generation land. It is thus possible to inhibit thermal expansion of the hydraulic bearing device, especially the dynamic pressure generation land.

Hydraulic bearing device

A hydrostatically supporting device for slide wherein a first slide member is provided with four guide surfaces constituting a square guide bore, and a second slide member having a square cross section is mated with the first slide member for sliding movements therebetween. Each of guide surfaces is provided with a pair of hydrostatic supporting surfaces formed at longitudinal ends of the guide surfaces, respectively, and each hydrostatic supporting surface is formed with a first hydrostatic pressure pocket formed at lateral center of the hydrostatic supporting surface and extending in the sliding direction. This first hydrostatic pressure pocket is provided with an oil supplying nozzle for supplying pressurized oil therethrough. Further, the hydrostatic supporting surface is provided with a pair of second hydrostatic pressure pockets each formed at opposite lateral ends of the hydrostatic supporting surface and extending in the sliding direction, and a pair of connecting grooves formed between the first and second hydrostatic pressure pockets for introducing the oil to the second hydrostatic pressure pockets.

Hydrostatically supporting device for slide

A slide guided on a guiding member has at least one sliding surface in slidable engagement with a guiding surface of the guiding member. The at least one sliding surface is formed with an elongate supply grove extending in the sliding direction of the slide and is also formed with a plurality of hydrostatic pressure pockets arranged in the sliding direction of the slide. The slide is formed therein with passages which respectively provide fluid communications of the hydrostatic pressure pockets with the elongate supply groove, and a plurality of throttle elements are respectively fitted in the passages at portions of the same opening to the hydrostatic pressure pockets. A supply passage connected to an oil supply is formed in the guiding member and at the guiding surface, opens to the elongate supply groove for always communicating with the elongate supply groove irrespective of the sliding position of the slide.
