A three-axis antenna having a first to a third antenna coils arranged so that directions of the maximum reception sensitivities are orthogonal to each other, the first to the third antenna coils comprising respectively: a planar coil being wound around the winding axis in circumferential direction and has an aperture; and a foil-type core inserted in the aperture; the foil-type core being arranged a plane to be in parallel to the plane of the first to the third coils.

A waveguide slot antenna utilizing a waveguide as a feeding line and having a linear slot provided in a wall of the waveguide, the waveguide slot antenna comprising a flat-shaped conductor plate which has a first through-hole formed in a shape approximately identical to that of the slot and provided at a position opposed to the slot, and a second through-hole provided at a position intersecting the first through-hole.

The present invention provides a waveguide slot antenna which utilizes a waveguide as a feeding line and has a linear-shaped slot provided in a wall of the waveguide. The waveguide slot antenna is characterized in that it comprises a pair of polarized wave conversion members surrounding an outer periphery of the slot and divided by a slit intersecting the slot. The present invention can provide a waveguide slot antenna capable of radiating a circularly polarized wave with a satisfactory axial ratio characteristic, over a wide band, only by adding a simple component to a conventional waveguide slot antenna.

In a dielectric waveguide-microstrip transition structure for mounting a dielectric waveguide on a printed-wiring board, one object of the present invention is directed to providing a further downsized structure as compared with a conventional structure, while maintaining an influence of displacement between the dielectric waveguide and the microstrip at a low level by means of non-contact coupling. The dielectric waveguide-microstrip transition structure has a dielectric waveguide containing a dielectric block and a conductor film covering an entire surface of the dielectric block, except a signal input/output portion, wherein a slot is formed in a bottom surface of the dielectric waveguide to expose the dielectric; a microstrip having an end which is openly terminated and disposed with opposing to and spaced apart from the slot of the dielectric waveguide; and a cavity containing a conductive wall surrounding the end of the microstrip and the slot of the dielectric waveguide, except a part of the microstrip being led out to connect to an external circuit.

Dielectric waveguide-microstrip transition including a cavity coupling structure

Disclosed is an input/output coupling structure for coupling a printed circuit board with a dielectric waveguide having a dielectric body and a conductive film covering the dielectric body. The coupling structure comprises a first conductive pattern formed on the bottom surface of the dielectric waveguide to serve as an input/output electrode, in such a manner as to be surrounded directly by an exposed portion of the dielectric body and further by the conductive film formed around the outer periphery of the exposed portion, a spacer having a surface made substantially entirely of a conductive material and a portion for defining a given space, and a second conductive pattern formed on a principal surface of the printed circuit board and electrically connected to the microstrip line. The bottom surface of the dielectric waveguide is joined to the principal surface of the printed circuit board through the spacer, to allow the first and second conductive patterns to be located in opposed relation to one another and define the space therebetween in cooperation with the spacer. The present invention can provide a simplified structure for mounting a dielectric waveguide on a printed circuit-wiring board to couple the dielectric waveguide with a microstrip line of the dielectric waveguide, and achieve a mode conversion mechanism operable in a wide frequency band and less subject to the influence of the possible displacement between the microstrip line and the dielectric waveguide.

Input/output coupling structure for dielectric waveguide having conductive coupling patterns separated by a spacer

Disclosed is an input/output coupling structure for a dielectric waveguide resonator to be mounted on a printed circuit board, which comprises; a region defined in the printed circuit board and surrounded by a first conductive film formed on the front surface of the printed circuit board and connected to a microstrip line on the printed circuit board, a second conductive film formed on the back surface of the printed circuit board, and a conductive wall connecting the respective peripheries of the first and second conductive films; a first slot formed in the front surface of the region; and a second slot formed in a surface of the dielectric waveguide resonator which is disposed to be opposed to the region of the printed circuit board. The first and second slots are adapted to be disposed in opposed relation to one another. The coupling structure can achieve the connection between a dielectric waveguide resonator and a microstrip line without forming any input/output electrode on the resonator, to facilitate the application of the dielectric waveguide resonator to an electronic circuit even if it is intended to be used in millimetric-wave band.

The present invention provides a dielectric waveguide filter comprising a plurality of dielectric waveguide resonators in the form of rectangular parallelepiped-shaped blocks aligned as a single main body having opposite ends defined by respective the end blocks located thereat, and a pair of input and output electrodes provided in the end blocks, respectively. Each of the end blocks is formed with a protruding portion including a dielectric substance extended from that therein. A conductive strip line extending from the bottom surface of corresponding one of the end blocks to the edge region of the bottom surface of corresponding one of the protruding portions. The bottom surfaces have a region where the dielectric substance in contact with the both sides of the conductive strip line is exposed to outside. The conductive strip lines are coupled with micro-strip lines or co-planer lines on a printed circuit board having a given length to obtain an adequate matching between input and output signals.

Dielectric waveguide filter and mounting structure thereof

The present invention provides a small dielectric filter suitable for use in a high frequency band equal to or higher than 3 GHz. an input/output electrode made up of island type of conductive film is formed on one surface of said dielectric located on each end portion; in each of said dielectrics located on each end respectively, an earth electrode is formed on almost of all remaining area of said surface so as to be isolated from said input/output electrode and is also formed on all of the other surfaces with an exception of connecting surfaces; in an intermediate dielectric, an earth electrode is formed on all surfaces other than the connecting surface; and a conductive film connected to the earth electrode is formed on a part of at least one of the connecting surfaces of the dielectrics to be connected. Three or more elements of resonators may be integrally formed on a dielectric block, and, in that case, a through-hole is formed between the resonators.

Dielectric filter

A small dielectric filter suitable for use in a high frequency band equal to or higher than 3 GHz. An input/output electrode made up of island type of conductive film is formed on one surface of the dielectric located on each end portion. In each of the dielectrics located on each end respectively, an earth electrode is formed on almost all of the remaining area of the one surface so as to be isolated from the input/output electrode and is also formed on all of the other surfaces with an exception of connecting surfaces. In an intermediate dielectric, an earth electrode is formed on all surfaces other than the connecting surface, and a conductive film connected to the earth electrode is formed on a part of at least one of the connecting surfaces of the dielectrics to be connected. Three or more elements of resonators may be integrally formed on a dielectric block, and, in that case, a through-hole is formed between the resonators.
