The present invention provides a windshield on which an information acquisition device that acquires information from outside of a vehicle by emitting and/or receiving light is disposable, the windshield including: a glass plate; and a heating wire that is provided on the glass plate and to which a current is applied. The glass plate includes at least one information acquisition region that faces the information acquisition device and through which the light passes, the heating wire includes a plurality of linear main body portions that pass through at least the information acquisition region and a linear linking portion for linking the plurality of main body portions, and at least one of the linking portions includes a heat generation suppressing means for suppressing heat generation when a current is applied.

A resin composition which includes: (A) a polyorganosiloxane that contains a mercaptoalkyl group bonded to a silicon atom and has a viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. of 20 to 3,000 cP; (B) a polyorganosiloxane containing an aliphatic unsaturated group; (C) a photoreaction initiator; (D) a chemically surface-treated silica having a BET specific surface area of 50 to 250 m/g and a pH of 5.0 to 9.0; and (E) a polyoxyalkylene glycol, and/or a derivative of the polyoxyalkylene glycol. (B) includes: a linear polyorganosiloxane; and optionally a branched polyorganosiloxane. The ratio of mercaptoalkyl groups in (A) to the total aliphatic unsaturated groups in (B) is 0.45 to 2.00, the content of (D) is 0.5 to 26 parts relative to 100 parts by mass of (B), the content of (E) is 0.001 to 1.0 mass % relative to the total mass of (A) to (E), and the viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. is 500 to 100,000 cP.

Resin composition for electric/electronic component

A glazing is disclosed comprising at least one ply of glass having an electrically conductive component on at least one surface, and an electrical connector electrically connected to the electrically conductive component through a soldered joint, the solder of the joint having a composition comprising 0.5 wt % or more indium, wherein the electrical connector comprises a nickel plated contact for contacting the solder. Also disclosed are solders having a composition comprising 14 to 75 wt % In, 14 to 75 wt % Sn, to 5 wt % Ag, to 5 wt % Ni, and less than 0.1 wt % Pb. Also disclosed is use of a solder having a composition comprising 0.5 wt % or more indium to solder a nickel plated electrical connector to an electrically conductive component on the surface of a ply of glass. The aspects of the invention improve the durability of electrical connections on glazing.

Heat-curable polyorganosiloxane composition and use thereof

The invention provides dam compositions which can give cured products serving as dam materials exhibiting appropriate hardness and adhesion with respect to adherends and which are preferably such that the dam materials also have inconspicuous joints with fillers. The invention also provides image displays manufactured with the compositions. An image display sealant dam composition includes (A) a polyorganosiloxane having a mercaptoalkyl group bonded to a silicon atom, and having a viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. of 20 to 25000 cP; (B) an aliphatic unsaturated group-containing polyorganosiloxane including an aliphatic unsaturated group-containing linear polyorganosiloxane (B1) represented by Formula (I) and optionally further including a branched polyorganosiloxane (B2) having SiOunits, R'SiOunits and R&#x2032;SiOunits, and optionally further having R&#x2032;SiOunits, at least three R&#x2032; groups per molecule of the branched polyorganosiloxane (B2) are aliphatic unsaturated groups; (C) a photoreaction initiator; (D) an aliphatic unsaturated group-containing silane compound; and (E) a fumed silica having a BET specific surface area of 180 to 500 m/g. In the composition, the ratio of the number of the mercaptoalkyl groups present in (A) to the total number of the aliphatic unsaturated groups in (B) and (D) is 0.45 to 1.50; the amount of (E) is 0.5 to 24 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (B); and the composition has a viscosity at 23&#xb0; C. of 20,000 to 10,000,000 cP. An image display includes an image display component and a protective component sealed with the composition.

An image display sealant dam composition including (A) a polyorganosiloxane having a mercaptoalkyl bonded to a silicon; (B) an aliphatic unsaturated group-containing polyorganosiloxane including an aliphatic unsaturated group-containing linear polyorganosiloxane (B1), and a branched polyorganosiloxane (B2) having SiOunits, R'SiOunits and R&#x2032;SiOunits, and optionally having R&#x2032;SiOunits, at least three R&#x2032; groups per molecule of the branched polyorganosiloxane (B2) are aliphatic unsaturated groups, the proportion of the number of the aliphatic unsaturated groups in (B2) to the total number of the aliphatic unsaturated groups in (B) is more than 50% and not more than 95%; (C) a photoreaction initiator; (D) a silane compound; and (E) an MQ resin having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000 to 2,500,000 and/or an MDQ resin having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000 to 1,000,000.

Room temperature curable silicon group-containing polymer composition

Disclosed is a room temperature curable silicon group-containing polymer composition containing a reactive silicon group-containing polymer (A) having a group represented by the formula (1) at an end of the main chain, which is obtained through a reaction between a polyoxypropylene polyol and a &#x3b3;-isocyanate propyltrialkoxysilane, a curing catalyst (B), an amino-functional organosiloxane (C), and optionally an inorganic filler (D) which is surface-treated with glycol. Also disclosed is a room temperature curable silicon group-containing polymer composition which contains, as the reactive silicon group-containing polymer (A), a mixture of a polymer (A1) having a reactive silicon-containing group at two or more ends, which is obtained through a reaction between a polyoxypropylene polyol and a &#x3b3;-isocyanate propyltrialkoxysilane, and another polymer (A2) having a reactive silicon containing-group only at one end, which is obtained through a reaction between a hydroxypolyoxypropylene having a hydroxyl group at one end and a &#x3b3;-isocyanate propyltrialkoxysilane, a curing catalyst (B) and an amino group-substituted alkoxysilane (C1) or an amino-functional organosiloxane (C2).

A heating line pattern structure of a defogger comprising a meander shape heating line portion is provided, in which the local temperature rise of a glass panel may be suppressed and which has a good outward appearance. Two lateral heating lines each having a thick width are provided under the meander shape heating line portion. A process for preparing a room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition comprising (A) (A-1) a specific organopolysiloxane or a mixture of (A-1) and (A-2) a specific silicone compound or a partial hydrolysis product thereof, (B) silica powder having a specific surface area of 20 to 800 m.sup.2 /g, (C) a curing catalyst, and (D) a silane coupling agent or an organopolysiloxane having a specific substituent, which comprises adding component (D) to component (A) prior to kneading or at the time of kneading components (A) and (B). The composition exhibits excellent physical characteristics, excellent workability in terms of flowability, adhesion, and extrudability, undergoes no change in viscosity with time and, in particular, suffers no impairment of these characteristics when stored for a long period of time.

Process for preparing room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane
