An automobile headlamp includes a plurality of projection light source units disposed in a lamp chamber. Each of the plurality of projection light source units includes a projection lens; a cut-off line forming shade extending approximately horizontally and forward such that an extending tip section thereof is located in a vicinity of a rearward focal point of the projection lens; a light-emitting element as a light source provided on both upper and lower sides of the shade; and a reflector, which reflects light emitted from the light-emitting element to be guided to the projection lens, provided on both upper and lower sides of the shade. A low-beam distribution pattern having a predetermined cut-off line is formed by a light source unit section on an upper side formed of the projection lens, the shade, the light-emitting element on the upper side, and the reflector on the upper side. An additional high-beam distribution pattern having a lower end cut-off line which approximately coincides with the predetermined cut-off line is formed by the light source unit section on a lower side formed of the projection lens, the shade, the light-emitting element on the lower side, and the reflector on the lower side. At least one of the plurality of projection light source units has an optical axis set to be parallel to an optical axis of the headlamp and at least one of the plurality of projection light source units has an optical axis set to be slightly tilted forward and downward with respect to the optical axis of the headlamp.

Vehicular marker lamp

A headlamp having a selectable beam is provided. The headlamp having the selectable beam is configured such that a low beam and a high beam are selectable, and the headlamp includes a first lamp section which forms a low-beam light distribution pattern if the low beam is selected; a second lamp section which forms a high-beam light distribution pattern if the high beam is selected; and a control unit which controls the second lamp section based on an inclination angle of a body on which the headlamp is mounted.

Headlamp having selectable beam

A vehicle headlamp is provided. The vehicle headlamp includes a projection-type light source unit housed in a lamp chamber. The light source unit includes a projection lens; a shade; a light emitting diode (LED) light source; a reflector; and an optical element. The LED light source includes a substrate; an LED chip disposed on the substrate such that the LED chip is oriented in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis of the light source unit; and a cover member. A region of the cover member includes concave and convex portions so as to diffuse light transmitted through the cover member. The reflector reflects and guides the light from the LED light source onto a rear focus of the projection lens. The optical element guides the diffused light transmitted through the cover toward a front side of the vehicle headlamp so as to form an overhead light distribution.

Vehicle headlamp

A lamp unit is provided. The lamp unit includes a light emitting element disposed on an optical axis so as to face in a direction substantially orthogonal to the optical axis, a first reflector facing the light emitting element to forwardly reflect light from the light emitting element, and a direct light control member disposed in front of the light emitting element for controlling direct light directed toward a region in front of the first reflector from the light emitting element without being incident on the first reflector. The direct light control member includes a first lens portion which deflects a first portion of the direct light in a direction approaching the optical axis, and an extended portion extending from the first lens portion. The extended portion controls a second portion of the direct light differently from the first lens portion.

Lamp unit

A vehicular lamp with a light source unit that includes a main reflector for reflecting light irradiated from a first light source, a projection lens that condenses and radiates light reflected by the main reflector, and a shade that blocks a part of the light reflected by the main reflector, wherein the light source unit further includes a second light source, which is disposed on the opposite side from the projection lens provided on the shade, and the shade is formed with a light transmission portion which is an opening that allows the light irradiated from the second light source to pass therethrough to the projection lens.
