A combustion apparatus provided with a burner includes a fuel injection nozzle disposed rearward of a gas passable solid and a pre-mixture region between a downstream end of the solid and the fuel injection nozzle. The gas passable solid may be of a straightener type. Air for combustion includes main air and pilot air separated from each other. The apparatus may be coupled to each end of a radiant tube. The apparatus may be provided to a direct and indirect combustion type thermal facilities.

Combustion apparatus

A pilot air passage, a pilot fuel passage and a main fuel passage are formed in a gun head for supplying pilot air and fuel. At least one of a flow amount detecting orifice, a flow amount adjusting needle valve and a pressure detecting plug is provided in each of the pilot air passage, the pilot fuel passage and the main fuel passage and is coupled to the gun head so as to be handled together with the gun head. A pilot air tube, a pilot fuel tube and a main fuel tube are constructed in the form of a triplet tube.

Structure for supply of fuel and pilot air

A combustion apparatus includes a combustion chamber and a single-type regenerative combustion burner. The burner is arranged with respect to the combustion chamber so that a direction in which burnt gas returns to the burner is not opposed to a direction in which fuel and supply air are expelled from the burner. This combustion apparatus is applicable to various types of industrial furnaces including various types of boilers, for example, a crucible-type furnace.

A hot fluid generating apparatus includes a combustion chamber, a regenerative combustion burner, a fluid passage formed along a wall structure of the combustion chamber, and a device for causing fluid to flow in the fluid passage. The combustion chamber has a flame radiation heat transfer only as a heat transfer portion. A portion of the wall structure opposite to the burner is utilized as a radiation heat transfer portion. A portion of exhaust gas from the burner is recirculated to the supply air to suppress generation of NOx. A portion of the wall structure close to the burner is formed to be a cone.

Hot fluid generating apparatus

A seal structure includes a stationary member, a rotatable member disposed within the stationary member to divide an interior of the stationary member into two chambers, a seal member mildly pressed to the stationary member and the rotatable member, and a recess for collecting grease, formed in the rotatable member. The seal structure can be used as a seal between a rotatable member and a stationary member of an air supply and gas exhaust switching mechanism of a regenerative combustion burner.

A combustion control method includes the steps of providing an oxygen sensor within a furnace or at a flue of the furnace, detecting an oxygen concentration of exhaust gas, and controlling an air ratio. A regenerative combustion apparatus includes a regenerative combustion burner, an oxygen sensor disposed in an air supply and gas exhaust passage of the burner. A combustion control method and apparatus includes the steps of switching an electrical voltage imposed on an oxygen sensor between a first electrical voltage and a second electrical voltage near 0 V, conducting an air ratio control when the imposed voltage is at the first voltage and monitoring unburnt components included in exhaust gas when the imposed voltage is at the second voltage.

Low-NOx burner

A small once-through boiler can avoid burning caused due to excessive heating of water pipes and burning around a fire hole of a burner in particular and heighten the heat load of a combustion chamber to further reduce the size of the system as compared with a prior art boiler. In the small once-through boiler, at least one regenerative burner system 20 is provided in a combustion chamber 1, the regenerative burner system 20 carrying out supply of combustion air A and exhaust of combustion gas E through a regenerator 22 and relatively changing flows of the combustion gas E and the combustion air A with respect to the regenerator 22 so as to supply the combustion air A via the regenerator 22 heated by heat of the combustion gas. Water pipe group 4 is provided apart from the combustion chamber wall surface 3 to form a passage 12 between the rear surface of the water pipe group 4 and the combustion chamber wall surface 3. Communicating openings 10 and 11 through which the combustion gas C passes are formed between adjacent water pipes at upper and lower ends of the water pipe group 4 so that a part of the combustion gas C can pass through the passage 12 provided at the rear of the water pipe group 4, whereby a part of the combustion gas C flows from the lower communicating openings 11 into the passage 12 to move upward and again flows from the upper communicating openings 10 into the combustion chamber 1.

Small once-through boiler

An industrial furnace and a burner for regenerative combustion includes a heat storage member, a switching mechanism disposed on one end of the heat storage member, and a burner tile disposed on the opposite end of the heat storage member. The burner tile has a protruding portion extending ahead an air supply and gas exhaust surface. The switching mechanism has a stationary disk and a rotatable disk which slidably contacts the stationary disk. A speed of supply air to the furnace is in operation equal to or higher than a speed of exhaust air therefrom.
