A method of controlling pest with a pesticidal composition comprising synergistically effective amounts of at least one anthranilamide compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt and other pesticide: wherein each of Rand Rwhich are independent of each other, is halogen; each of Rand Ris halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy or cyano; A is alkyl substituted by Y; Y is Ccycloalkyl which may be substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of halogen, alkyl and haloalkyl; n is 0 or 1; and q is an integer of from 0 to 4; provided that Rand Rare not simultaneously chlorine nor bromine.

Pesticidal compositions

Objects of the present invention are to provide a compound which is highly active against pests, to provide a pest control agent comprising the compound, and to provide a method for controlling a pest by applying the compound. The present invention provides a 4-(arylethynyl)pyridine or a salt thereof, a pest control agent which comprises the 4-(arylethynyl)pyridine or salt thereof as an active ingredient, and a method for controlling a pest by applying the 4-(arylethynyl)pyridine or salt thereof in an effective amount.

The present invention provides a pesticide containing a pyridyl-triazolopyrimidine derivative represented by the formula (I) or its salt as an active ingredient: wherein Ris substitutable alkyl, substitutable cycloalkyl, substitutable alkenyl, substitutable alkynyl, halogen, cyano, aryl, a heterocyclic group which may be substituted by alkyl, OR, S(O)3? or NRR; Ris hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, acetyl or aryl; Ris alkyl or acetyl; Ris hydrogen or alkyl; Ris hydrogen, alkyl or the like; X is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, halogen, haloalkyl, cyano, nitro or the like; m is an integer of from 1 to 4; and n is an integer of from 0 to 2.
