In a structure of fitting female and male connectors together, the female connector includes a female housing, and a female adapter which is provided on the female housing, and has a guide groove, and is fitted on a fitting portion provided at the male connector. The male connector includes a guide rib which is formed at the fitting portion, and is engageable in the guide groove. The female adapter can be rotated relative to the female housing to be placed at any of a plurality predetermined angular positions arranged with a fixed interval, and can be attached to the female housing. Only when the female adapter is rotated into a preselected one of the plurality predetermined angular positions, and is attached to the female housing of the female connector, the guide rib can be fitted in the guide groove, thereby allowing the female and male connectors to be fitted together.

Female-male connector fitting structure

Each of shielding terminals is made of an electrically-conductive material, and includes a plate-shaped conducting plate portion, and a shielding shell of a tubular shape which is formed in an upstanding manner on the conducting plate portion, and is electrically connected to an electrically-conductive shielding member of a corresponding shielded wire. The conducting plate portions of the shielding terminals are held between a holder plate and an outer surface of a connector housing, and are disposed on the outer surface of the connector housing. These conducting plate portions are fixed to the connector housing by bolts and. The conducting plate portions are held in surface-to-surface contact with the outer surface of the connector housing.

Shield connector

A first shield connector ( ) includes a first connector housing ( ), mounted directly on a mounting portion ( ), and a first metal terminal ( ) which is inserted into a metal terminal receiving chamber ( ) in the first connector housing from a connecting side thereof, and is fixed in the chamber. A second shield connector ( ) includes a second connector housing ( ), abutted against the first connector housing, a second metal terminal ( ), which is inserted into a metal terminal receiving chamber ( ) in the second connector housing from that side thereof remote from a connecting side thereof, and is electrically connected to the first metal terminal, and a rear holder ( ) which is inserted into the second connector housing from that side thereof remote from the connecting side thereof so as to prevent rearward withdrawal of the second metal terminal, and covers an outer surface of the second connector housing, and is retained on an outer surface of the first connector housing.

Equipment direct-mounting-type shield electric connector

A butt type contact terminal is disclosed having a plate-like tab portion at one end and an electric wire connecting portion on the other end, one face of the tab portion serving as a contact face. A resilient member is pressed into contact with the other face of the tab portion such that the tab portion moves in a direction of its thickness against a biasing force of the resilient member when a mating terminal is pressed into contact with the contact face. Positioning holes are formed in the tab portion and positioning pins are provided on a first wall member. Engaging portions with respect to the positioning pins are provided on a second wall member and the resilient member is supported by the second wall member. An insertion hole for receiving the mating terminal is formed in the first wall member.

Butt type contact terminal

A butt type contact terminal comprises a terminal body , a sliding contact member slidably engaged around an outer periphery of the terminal body, and a resilient member resiliently provided between the terminal body and the sliding contact member either one of the terminal body and the sliding contact member being provided with a plurality of elastic contact pieces arranged in a circumferential direction by way of axial slits , and the terminal body and the sliding contact member being respectively provided with projections for engagement and contact therebetween. The terminal body includes an elastic contact portion in a cylindrical shape, a flange portion and an electric wire connecting portion The sliding contact member includes a peripheral wall in a cylindrical shape having the projections a covering wall , and a contact portion An outer diameter of the elastic contact portion is larger than an inner diameter of the peripheral wall , whereby the elastic contact portion is elastically brought into contact with the peripheral wall. A coil spring is resiliently provided between the peripheral wall of the sliding contact member and the flange portion of the terminal body . The terminals are inserted into a connector housing , the flange portions are locked by locking lances , and waterproof packings are tightly fitted to the contact portions and to the electric wires

Butt type contact terminal and connector employing the same

A shield member is closely contacted with a first seal member,projecting in the axial direction of a housing, and a second seal member is closely contacted with the outside thereof. A hole at the housing side is communicated with a long hole of a shield member in the movable range of a projecting portion and an engaging portion. The housing can be conductive. The housing and the shield member can be provided integrally. The housing includes a flange portion and ring walls. The ring wall fitted in a first stage ring portion of the shield member is contacted with a hole portion, the seal member is fitted with the outside of the seal member fitted with a second stage ring portion, and a shield electric wire is connected with a third stage ring portion by a shield sleeve. The ring portions can be provided in two steps, with a large diameter portion of a first seal member fitted into a first stage ring portion, and a second seal member provided at the opening end of the hole portion. A drain hole of the housing, a stopper holder and a cushion ring are provided.

Shield connector structure

A connecting structure for a shielded cable having a braid is disclosed. The connecting structure includes a cable insertion hole, a hollow pressure member, a shield connection member, and a hollow bolt. The cable insertion hole includes a female threaded part and a shield connection part having an inclined surface. The hollow pressure member is inserted into the shield connection part of the cable insertion hole and the shielded cable passes through the hollow pressure member. The shield connection member is connected to the braid of the shielded cable and has an inclined part. The shield connection member is inserted into the cable insertion hole such that the inclined part is disposed between the inclined surface of the shield connection part and the hollow pressure member. The shielded cable passes through the hollow bolt and the hollow bolt is threaded into the female threaded part of the cable insertion hole. When the hollow bolt is tightened to press the hollow pressure member, the hollow pressure member in turn presses the inclined part of the shield connection member against the inclined surface of the shield connection part to electrically connect the braid to the cable insertion hole.

Shielded cable connecting structure

A female type terminal for a large current, an assembling method of the female type terminal, and a connector housing for the female type terminal are provided, wherein a female type terminal includes: a male type terminal being in a rod-like shape; a female type terminal having a cylindrical terminal body in which the male type terminal is inserted, the terminal body having a large diameter portion at the end thereof; a cylindrical spring contact to be accommodated in the female type terminal and to be put into elastic-contact with the male type terminal; and a cap member having an introductory opening to introduce the male type terminal into the terminal body and having a stopping wall continuing from the introductory opening, the cap member being molded out of synthetic resin, wherein the stopping wall of the cap member is inserted into the large diameter portion and an end surface of the stopping wall abuts against the spring contact accommodated in the terminal body, whereby the spring contact is held in the terminal body.

Female type terminal, assembling method of female type terminal, and connector for female type terminal

A storage battery terminal structure of the present invention includes: an annular recessed groove that is arranged on an upper end portion of a cylindrical male terminal; retaining projections that are engageable with the annular recessed groove; a housing that is an outer enclosing body of a female terminal; flexible arms, each flexible arm not only having a retaining projection on an upper end portion of an inner wall of a rigid sleeve of the housing surrounding the male terminal in order to release the corresponding retaining projection from the annular recessed groove but also being formed by a pair of slits formed from an upper end of the rigid sleeve so as to interpose the corresponding retaining projection therebetween; and a release button that is arranged on an upper end portion of the rigid sleeve so as to be vertically movable so that the flexible arms can be flexed sidewards and that has slopes on a lower surface thereof, the slopes facing sidewards.

Storage battery terminal structure

An electrical terminal for use with a resin-made connector housing containing a locking lance, consists of a terminal body having a collar projecting circumferentially therearound, and a locking member separate from the terminal body. The locking member has engagement means engageable with the collar to retain the locking member longitudinally in place on the terminal body. The locking member engages with the locking lance to lock the terminal in the connector housing. The locking member is made of resin so that during moving the terminal into and out of the connector housing, resin is prevented from being shaved off from the connector housing including the locking lance.

Electrical terminal

A terminal 10 includes a terminal body 11, made of electrically-conductive metal, and a stopper body 13 made of an insulative resin. That portion of the terminal body 11, extending from its distal end 11a to its proximal portion 11b, is formed into a generally-cylindrical tubular shape, and a slit-like guide groove 11c is formed through this generally-cylindrical tubular portion, and extends along a length thereof. The stopper body 13 includes a generally-cylindrical connecting portion 13a, an insulating projected portion 13b of a generally conical shape, formed at a distal end of the connecting portion 13a, and a retaining ring portion 13c of a generally annular tubular shape formed at a proximal end of the connecting portion 13a. A guide ridge 13d is formed on the connecting portion 13a of the stopper body 13, and can be positioned relative to the guide groove 11c so as to be fitted in this guide groove, and with this construction, the generally-cylindrical connecting portion 13a of the stopper body 13, extending between the insulating projected portion 13b and the retaining ring portion 13c, can be fitted in the generally-cylindrical tubular portion of the terminal body 11 extending from the distal end 11a thereof to the proximal portion 11b thereof.

A storage battery terminal structure of the present invention includes: an annular recessed groove that is arranged on an upper end portion of a cylindrical male terminal; retaining projections that are engageable with the annular recessed groove; a housing that is an outer enclosing body of a female terminal; flexible arms, each flexible arm not only having a retaining projection on an upper end portion of an inner wall of a rigid sleeve of the housing surrounding the male terminal in order to release the corresponding retaining projection from the annular recessed groove but also being formed by a pair of slits formed from an upper end of the rigid sleeve so as to interpose the corresponding retaining projection therebetween; and a release button that is arranged on an upper end portion of the rigid sleeve so as to be vertically movable so that the flexible arms can be flexed sidewards and that has slopes on a lower surface thereof, the slopes facing sidewards. An indicator is also disclosed that reveals when the male terminal has been completely inserted into a hole of the female terminal.

Storage battery terminal structure with indicator means

A shield wire's terminal treatment structure including a housing into which a shield wire is inserted and which is secured to a mounting portion, and a shield connection ring which is capped on the housing and through which the shield wire is extended. In the structure, a braid of the shield wire which is protruded from the housing is folded over an outer peripheral surface of the housing, and the shield connection ring is mounted on the housing with the braid thus folded pushed against the outer peripheral surface of the housing.

Terminal treatment structure of a shield wire

A female terminal for a large current is provided which includes a tubular contact portion having an inlet for inserting a terminal pin of a male terminal. The female terminal for a large current also includes a plurality of projections formed on an inner face of the tubular contact portion, which is adjacent to the inlet, which has adequate spaces therebetween, and which protrudes inwardly of the tubular contact portion. The plurality of projections are formed from outside of the terminal contact portion easily and at a low cost.
