A micromirror device includes an elastic hinge for supporting a mirror on a substrate, and an address electrode for deflecting the mirror. The device further includes a protective layer and an oriented monolayer laid to cover a stopper also functioning as an address electrode provided below the mirror and between the mirror and the substrate.

A spatial light modulator supported on a device substrate includes a plurality of light modulation elements to modulate a light emitted from a light source. The spatial light modulator and the device substrate further comprises a cyclic structure on a surface of the spatial light modulator and/or the device substrate for preventing a reflection of the incident light from the cyclic structure. In an exemplary embodiment the cyclic structure includes cyclic structural elements having a distance between two cyclic elements shorter than the wavelength of an incident light for preventing a reflection of the incident light from the cyclic structure.

The phosphate mold material of this invention comprises refractory materials and binders as principal components, the refractory materials containing cristobalite and quartz, and the binders containing metal oxides which includes magnesia clinker and a phosphate salt. The proportion of said refractory materials to said binders is 80:20-90:10, and the proportion of cristobalite to quartz is in the range 6:1-7:1.

A dental centrifugal casting apparatus includes a crucible for receiving a dental casting material, a crucible holding unit for holding the crucible, a heating furnace such as a high-frequency induction heating furnace for heating and melting the dental casting material in the crucible, a crucible forward and backward rotary driving unit for driving the crucible holding unit forward and backward so as to insert the crucible into the heating furnace to heat and melt the material in the crucible and remove the crucible from the furnace, and for rotationally driving the crucible holding unit so as to inject the melted material into a mold at a predetermined position, a bucket for holding the mold in which the molten material is injected by the forward and backward motion and the rotation of the crucible performed by the crucible forward and backward rotary driving unit, and a centrifuge unit for rotating a rotary arm swingably mounting the bucket on its end portion at high speed immediately after the material is injected to apply a centrifugal force to the mold and molten material, thereby performing casting.

A dental crown formed of a dental crown material comprising crystallized glass containing 40 to 45% by weight of SiO.sub.2, 11 to 15% by weight of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 16 to 23% by weight of MgO, 6.5 to 8% by weight of F, 4.0 to 7.0% by weight of Na.sub.2 O, 5 to 9% by weight of Li.sub.2 O, not more than 1% by weight of TiO.sub.2, 2 to 4% by weight of ZrO.sub.2, and at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, MnO, CeO.sub.2 and NiO, and having a bending strength of at least 2000 Kg/cm.sup.2.
