A fuel cell assembling apparatus includes: a tensile load application device that pulls a coupling plate to apply a tensile load to the coupling plate of which a first end portion is fixed to a first end plate, the tensile load application device being temporarily fixed to a second end portion of the coupling plate; a compressive load application device that applies a compressive load to a cell stack of a fuel cell; and a fixing device that fixes the second end portion of the coupling plate to which the tensile load is applied, and a second end plate to each other. The tensile load application device applies the tensile load to the coupling plate by using a reaction force generated in response to the compressive load applied to the cell stack by the compressive load application device.

There is a need to improve the positioning accuracy in stacking gas separators. A guide sectionprovided in a fuel cell manufacturing apparatushas first and second guide membersarranged to be parallel to each other and away from each other in a horizontal direction and extended in a stacking direction of the gas separators. The gas separator has first and second engagement elementsprovided at corresponding positions to the first and the second guide membersto have a concave and/or convex shape formed along its outer periphery. A manufacturing method of a fuel cell includes a stacking step of stacking a plurality of members including gas separators by engaging the first engagement element with the first guide member and engaging the second engagement element with the second guide member. The gas separators stacked by the stacking step satisfy such a configuration that a first support location of the first engagement element and a second support location of the second engagement element are arranged at positions away from each other across a center of gravity of the gas separator and that the center of gravity is located in a lower area in a direction of gravity below a straight line of connecting the first support location with the second support location on a stacking surface of the gas separator.

The object of the present invention is to reliably prevent deterioration and failure of reception relevant parts in a transmission apparatus on a reception side without using an attenuator. An output value control method that controls an output value of output information transmitted from each of transmission apparatuses, in which a transmission apparatus transmits the output information having a minimum output value as the output value to the other transmission apparatus, and when the output information does not reach the other transmission apparatus, the transmission apparatus repeats transmission of the output information after increasing the own output value by adding a predetermined value to a previous output value, and then the other transmission apparatus that has received the output information calculates the output value of the transmission apparatus, and notifies the calculated output value of the transmission apparatus as an appropriate output value to the transmission apparatus.

The low-delay desiring packets are written into a low-delay memory without passing trough the delay unit, that is, without being delayed. A read-out controller reads out a packet from the uninterruptible-switching memory. When the read-out packet is an uninterruptible-switching desiring packet, the packet is directly output, and when the read-out packet is a low-delay desiring packet, the packet is discarded, and a low-delay desiring packet is read out from the low-delay memory and output.

A fuel cell comprises a membrane electrode assembly including an electrolyte membrane and electrode layers arranged on each surface of the electrolyte membrane respectively, and first and second separators that are formed by processing a metal plate and are arranged so as to sandwich the membrane electrode assembly. At a position outside a position facing the membrane electrode assembly, the separators have an opening that constitutes a reaction gas flow path that is roughly perpendicular to a surface direction of the membrane electrode assembly. The first separator has a folded back part that is formed by folding back at least part of the metal plate of the position at which the opening is formed toward the membrane electrode assembly side along a boundary line on the membrane electrode assembly side of the opening as a fold line. The folded back part has a communication hole that allows communication between an internal flow path space and the reaction gas flow path, the internal flow path space being a space communicated with an end surface of the membrane electrode assembly and being formed between the folded back part and the first separator. The second separator does not have the folded back part.

There is disclosed a fuel cell system capable of drying a fuel cell in a short time after a system stop instruction is issued. The fuel cell system includes a controller to control the execution of a normal operation and a dry operation which decreases the water content of the fuel cell as compared with the normal operation. The controller executes the dry operation prior to the system stop instruction so that the water content of the fuel cell is decreased as compared with the normal operation at a time of the system stop instruction. The controller may execute the dry operation before the system stop instruction in a case where it is predicted that the temperature of the fuel cell at the system stop or the next system start is a predetermined low temperature.

Thus, the quantity of cell buffers provided in a communication apparatus is reduced.
