A radiotherapy apparatus controlling method according to the present invention includes controlling an imager driving unit to move an imaging unit to a position, and to image a transmission image by the imaging unit based on a radiation emitted from a first irradiating unit; and controlling the imager driving unit to move the imaging unit to a position, and to image a transmission image based on a radiation emitted from a second irradiating unit. According to such a radiotherapy apparatus controlling method, it is not necessary to separately provide an imaging unit which images the transmission image using a first radiation emitted from the first irradiating unit and an imaging unit which images a transmission image from the radiation emitted from the second irradiating unit, and a radiotherapy apparatus can be manufactured to be cheaper.

Control unit of radiotherapy apparatus and radiotherapy apparatus controlling method

An HF frequency tuning device includes a resonance cavity in which an HF is introduced, a phase detecting section which generates a sign data representing a sign of a phase difference between a traveling wave and a reflected wave included in the HF in the resonance cavity. The frequency of the HF is repeatedly shifted by a first pitch. The direction of the shift is determined by the sign data for reducing the phase difference. When the sign is inverted, the frequency of the HF is repeatedly shifted to the opposite direction by a second pitch smaller than the first pitch until the sign is inverted again. By this tuning process, the fine tuning of HF can by achieved in a short time.

A radiotherapy apparatus includes an acceleration unit configured to generate a charged particle beam. A target is configured to generate a radiation when the charged particle beam is irradiated to the target. A sensor is configured to measure an electric current flowing through the target. Estimated modulus values of the component contents is determined and based on current takeout amounts of the raw materials, a mill system passage characteristic model, a component analyzer passage characteristic model, and preset component contents of the raw materials. Modulus deviation values are calculated based on differences between the estimated modulus values and the measured modulus values, and is passed through a noise removal filter. Future modulus values of the component contents are then calculated based on the raw material takeout amounts, and the preset raw material component contents. To determine predicted modulus values for calculation of updated takeout amounts. The predicted modulus values are adjusted to follow predetermined target values while considering a balance among the modulus values of HM, SM and IM, as well as the capacities of feeders of the raw materials, to calculate the updated raw material takeout amounts.
