An LED lamp is used being connected to an external switch for performing an ON-OFF operation. The LED lamp, when causing a light emitting module to emit light in a first lighting mode, controls a power supply circuit to cause the light emitting module to emit light at a first brightness for a predetermined time period from when a timer circuit is activated, and to cause the light emitting module to emit light at a second brightness lower than the first brightness, after passage of the predetermined time period.
