Provided is a stator of a rotating electric machine including: a stator core; windings of multiple phases wound around the stator core via insulators attached to the stator core; and tab terminals that each have at least one slit and a plate-shaped tab and that electrically connect an end portion of a winding, of one of the multiple phases, of the windings to an end portion of an other of the windings of a different one of the multiple phases, wherein a portion of each of the insulators or a resin component different from the insulators has a connection terminal insertion hole into which the tab terminal is inserted, and the connection terminal insertion hole is formed on a circle centered on a shaft center of the stator, and a plate surface of the tab of the tab terminal to be inserted into the connection terminal insertion hole is placed to be tangential to the circle.

A plurality of magnet holes are arranged in a circumferential direction. Void portions are provided at both ends in the circumferential direction of each magnet hole. Flow holes penetrating in the axial direction are formed, between the magnet holes adjacent in the circumferential direction, on an inner side in a radial direction with respect to the magnet holes. Each core has: first groove portions via which the void portions and the flow holes communicate with each other; and second groove portions via which the void portions and the outer circumferences of the cores communicate with each other and which serve as discharge ports. The end plates have: first holes through which the flow holes are exposed and which serve as intake ports; and tab portions which are located on downstream sides in a rotation direction of the first holes and which assist air intake.

A magnetic pole includes a core, winding frames, and sheet-like insulators. The winding frames are provided to both ends, in a direction along the central axis, of the core, and have thin portions and projections. The thin portions and the projections extend in a direction along the central axis. The insulators are provided on both sides in the circumferential direction of a tooth portion. A part of each insulator is held by being sandwiched between the projection and the thin portion provided to each winding frame.

A rotor core is configured by stacking a plurality of core plates each including: an inner peripheral side core portion; an outer peripheral side core portion; a magnet insertion hole; a radial connection portion to be connected to the inner peripheral side core portion; a circumferential connection portion to be connected between the outer peripheral side core portion and the radial connection portion, including a minimum width portion having a width smaller than widths at both ends, and having a width smoothly decreasing from both ends toward the minimum width portion; and a thin portion including a uniform thickness portion which is provided in the circumferential connection portion and which has a uniform thickness and a non-uniform thickness portion which is adjacent to the uniform thickness portion and which has an increasing thickness, the thin portion having the minimum width portion within the uniform thickness portion.

A rotor core in which magnets are embedded is formed by stacking a plurality of steel sheets. Each steel sheet which has a disk shape has: six magnet insertion holes formed so as to allow permanent magnets to be inserted therein as a whole; circumferential-direction bridge portions connecting, in the circumferential direction, radially-outer-side steel sheets each formed at the peripheral part of the steel sheet, between the magnet insertion holes; and radial-direction bridge portions formed between the magnet insertion holes. The circumferential-direction bridge portions and the radial-direction bridge portions have coined portions having decreased sheet thicknesses and protruding in an arc shape in the sheet-thickness direction. The coined portions having decreased sheet thicknesses suppress short-circuit of a magnetic flux between magnetic poles, and formation of the arc shapes absorbs extension of these portions caused by a coining work, to suppress deformation of the steel sheet.

A brake structure of a traction machine includes a brake drum which is made rotatable about a shaft disposed on a rotary axis of the traction machine, and an electromagnetic brake unit built in an inner space of the brake drum. The electromagnetic brake unit includes a plurality of movable iron cores, a plurality of brake shoes located on the outside of the individual movable iron cores and joined thereto by connecting members, the brake shoes having curved outer surfaces facing a curved inner surface of the brake drum, and a one-piece formed stationary iron core block. The one-piece formed stationary iron core block has a plurality of stationary iron core portions joined to the individual movable iron cores via compression springs for forcing the individual brake shoes against the curved inner surface of the brake drum via the movable iron cores and the connecting members.

There is disclosed an electron shower apparatus which eliminates the adverse effect of a magnetic field on electrons and which provides electrons in sufficient quantity when primary electrons having low energy are employed. In the apparatus, the magnetic field generated by a filament current is decreased or eliminated by pulsing the filament current or by passing a current opposite in direction to the filament current in the vicinity of the filament current.

An ion implantation apparatus includes an ion source having an arc chamber generating ions and a drawing electrode drawing ions from the arc chamber, a mass separator transporting only ions desired for implantation, an ion implantation chamber in which the material to be implanted by ions is placed, and a controller means for automatically controlling the distance between the arc chamber and the drawing electrode incrementally in accordance with a theoretical calculation using normalized perveance considering the kind of ions to be implanted, the accelerating voltage, and the ion current and current density distribution.

In an ion beam irradiating apparatus for providing a neutralized ion beam to a sample, there are provided an ion source, an accelerating device and an ion beam selecting device to which the accelerated and selection ion beam is irradiated. This irradiating apparatus further includes an ion neutralizer positioned between the selecting device and the sample, and includes: an electron beam emitting source for emitting an electron beam; a first electron scatter preventing electrode for preventing the electron beam emitted from the electron beam emitting source from being scattered outside the ion neutralizer; a second electron scatter preventing electrode for preventing the electron beam induced into the specified ion beam from being scattered in a direction opposite to an ion irradiating direction; and a control electrode for controlling a traveling velocity of the electron beam emitted from the electron emitting source so as to drift the emitted electron beam toward the sample, thereby neutralizing the selected ion beam at a location adjacent to a surface of the sample that is being irradiated.
