A control system for preventing a drop in driving force in a vehicle having a momentary type shifting device. In the shifting device, the N position corresponding to the N range and the default position are located between the D position corresponding to the D range and B position corresponding to the B range. The controller is configured to establish the neutral range in a case that the shift lever which is moved to the N position is maintained thereto for the threshold, and the neutral range maintaining action is executed after the lapse of the threshold time.

Vehicle control system

A vehicle control device is applied to a vehicle including at least a shift control system configured to switch a shift range. The vehicle control device is configured to control the vehicle to perform autonomous driving travel without depending on an operation of a driver in at least one driving operation. The vehicle control device includes a controller. The controller is configured to determine the propriety of travel by the autonomous driving travel according to a type of abnormality that occurs in the shift control system. The controller is configured to perform travel control of the vehicle according to the propriety of the travel by the autonomous driving travel.

Vehicle control device

A range switching device for switching between a plurality of shift ranges in a vehicle. In the range switching device, the shift ranges are switched depending on a rotational angle of a detent plate that has (i) a first engaged portion for maintaining an angle value of the rotational angle of the detent plate by which a parking range as one of the shift ranges is established in the vehicle and (ii) a second engaged portion for maintaining another angle value of the rotational angle of the detent plate by which a reverse running range as another one of the shift ranges is established in the vehicle. The first and second engaged portions are located in respective positions adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction about a rotational axis about which the detent plate is to be rotated.

Vehicle range switching device

According to a parking lock control computer, in a case where there is a switching request from a non-parking lock state of a parking lock mechanism to a parking lock state based on a driver's manual operation of a P switch or a vehicle power switch, the P switch or the vehicle power switch is operated in a state where a vehicle speed V exceeds a P lock permissible vehicle speed Vp, a parking lock operation is inhibited, and a parking lock rejection history is stored, switching to the parking lock state of the parking lock mechanism by a door opening operation is permitted.
