An intake air flow rate into an intake passage is detected with an internal combustion engine as a control device, and atmospheric pressure and temperature are estimated or detected. An intake passage internal average pressure and an intake passage internal average temperature in a region up to a throttle valve of the intake passage as one region are estimated. Distributions of a pressure and a temperature inside the intake passage are estimated based on the estimated intake passage internal average pressure, the intake passage internal average temperature, and a model of energy change caused by a constituent element included in the intake passage.

This in-vehicle control device includes: a cooling period setting unit that sets a timing prior to the start timing of a predicted knock occurrence period as the increasing timing of a cooling amount of a combustion room, and sets a timing prior to an end timing of the predicted knock occurrence period as the decreasing timing of the cooling amount of the combustion room; and a cooling amount change unit that changes the cooling amount of the combustion room by a cooling mechanism on the basis of the set increasing and decreasing timings and a target cooling amount set by a target cooling amount setting unit.

In-vehicle control device and method for controlling internal combustion engine

Provided is a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of realizing an operation of the internal combustion engine in a state in which a dilution is close to a limit. A processor (CPU) of a control device for an internal combustion engine calculates a change amount of a parameter (for example, a combustion center position) indicating a combustion state of the internal combustion engine (combustion center change amount calculation unit). The processor (CPU) corrects an operation amount of an actuator (for example, an EGR valve) that adjusts a dilution of an air-fuel mixture according to a difference between the change amount of the parameter indicating the combustion state and a target value of the change amount, and brings the change amount close to the target value (actuator operation amount correction unit).

Control device for internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine control device includes an engine state estimation unit, a wall surface temperature estimation unit, and an operation amount calculation unit. The engine state estimation unit calculates the energy transfer amount from the gas to the wall surface based on the parameter related to the operating condition, the parameter related to the chemical condition of combustion, and the parameter related to an operation status. The wall surface temperature estimation unit estimates the wall surface temperature on the basis of the energy transfer amount from the gas to the wall surface. The operation amount calculation unit calculates an operation amount of an actuator provided in the internal combustion engine on the basis of the wall surface temperature estimated by the wall surface temperature estimation unit.

Internal combustion engine control device

Provided is an internal combustion engine control device capable of appropriately correcting a flow rate of EGR gas. Therefore, an internal combustion engine control deviceincludes moisture amount calculation unitsand, a dew condensation calculation unit, and an EGR correction unit. The moisture amount calculation unitcalculates a total moisture amount contained in the mixed gas. The dew condensation calculation unitcalculates a dew condensation generation amount WQcon in an intercooler based on the total moisture amount. The EGR correction unitcorrects a flow rate of the EGR gas based on the dew condensation generation amount WQcon.

The present disclosure relates to a method and a control unit for controlling pre-warming process of an engine of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The method comprises determining start-up time of the engine. The method also comprises determining engine heating time for the engine. The pre-warming process of the engine is initiated prior to start up time of the engine. The process of pre-warming is discontinued when the determined start-up time of the engine is greater than the engine heating time and the process is restarted when the determined start-up time of the engine is less than the engine heating time and when the pre-warming process of the engine is discontinued. The above-mentioned process is reiterated at plurality of time intervals for controlling the pre-warming process of the engine which results in energy efficiency and sufficient heat for warm-up of the engine.

System and method for predictive pre-warming control of hybrid electric vehicles (HEV)

Provided is an internal combustion engine control device capable of reducing a measurement load and calculating a flow velocity around an ignition plug. The internal combustion engine control device includes an inter-gap voltage calculation unitand a flow velocity calculation unit. The inter-gap voltage calculation unitcalculates a reference inter-gap voltage under a reference condition, based on a secondary current and in-cylinder pressure. The flow velocity calculation unit calculates the flow velocity of a gas around the ignition plug based on the reference inter-gap voltage.

In an engine including an auxiliary chamber having an ignition plug therein, an amount of heat generated in the auxiliary chamber tends to be large, and thus it is necessary to suppress abnormal combustion. However, when a sensor is added to the ignition plug, a manufacturing cost of the ignition plug tends to increase. An ECUincludes an auxiliary chamber temperature estimation unitthat estimates a temperature of the auxiliary chamber, and an ignition control unitthat delays an ignition timing at a first decrease degree defined in accordance with a change amount of the ignition timing with respect to the temperature of the auxiliary combustion chamber as the temperature of the auxiliary chamberincreases in a case where the estimated temperature of the auxiliary chamberis included in a middle temperature region equal to or lower than a first set temperature.

Due to changes in a flow of an air-fuel mixture in a cylinder, reliable ignition due to spark discharge may not be possible. Therefore, an ignition control unitincludes a secondary voltage calculation unitthat calculates an average value of a secondary voltage generated on a secondary side of an ignition coil, an irregular flow ratio calculation unitthat calculates a ratio of cycles in which the average value of the secondary voltage is equal to or less than a set average value with respect to a cycle of the internal combustion engine in a predetermined period as an irregular flow ratio indicating that the flow of the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder is irregular, and an ignition operation amount correction unitthat corrects an ignition operation amount so that the irregular flow ratio is equal to or less than the set ratio value that is the target to be reached of the irregular flow ratio.

Control device

An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification system which exhibits high exhaust gas purification performance. The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification system including: a carrier containing aluminum oxide; an exhaust gas purification device including a catalyst provided on the carrier and containing gallium, and connected to an internal combustion engine; and a system connected to the exhaust gas purification device for increasing an oxygen concentration. The system for increasing an oxygen concentration provides an oxygen concentration higher than that of a post combusted gas of the internal combustion engine.

Torque fluctuations caused by misfire and abnormal combustion are prevented appropriately at the time of switching from SI to HCCI, and exhaust of NOx is restricted at the time of switching. Provided is a control apparatus for an internal combustion engine performing a plurality of combustion modes each having a different air-fuel ratio and compression end temperature in a cylinderfrom each other. In the middle of switching from a first combustion mode to a second combustion mode, an intermediate combustion mode in which the compression end temperature is increased while keeping a different air-fuel ratio from the air-fuel ratio of the first combustion mode and the air-fuel ratio of the second combustion mode is performed. Accordingly, at the time of switching between an operation mode performing SI and an operation mode performing HCCI, a temperature in the cylinderand an air-fuel ratio are controlled appropriately, torque fluctuations caused by misfire and abnormal combustion can be prevented appropriately, and exhaust of NOx can be restricted.

An object of the present invention is to provide an engine system control device capable of stabilizing a combustion state, while improving fuel economy by performing intake air heating. According to the present invention, there is provided an engine system control device which controls an engine system including an engine configured to combust air-fuel mixture, an intake air path configured to take air to the engine, and an intake air heating mechanism configured to heat the intake air, wherein a heating amount of the intake air is controlled depending on a combustion speed of the air-fuel mixture.

Engine system control device

An object is to provide a control device that calculates an intake pipe pressure of an engine, in which the humidity of air is measured, and a change in a gas constant due to a change in the total number of moles of air is corrected, to improve the accuracy of the calculation value of the intake pipe pressure. A control device that controls an engine provided with an air amount measurement unit that measures an air amount passing through a throttle throttle valve provided in an intake passage of the engine, and a humidity measurement unit that measures a humidity of air passing through the throttle throttle valve, includes: an air amount calculation unit that calculates an air amount flowing into a cylinder of the engine based on a measurement result of the air amount measurement unit; and a pressure calculation unit that calculates a pressure of the intake manifold on a downstream side of the throttle throttle valve based on the air amount measured by the air amount measurement unit, the air amount calculated by the air amount calculation unit, and the humidity measured by the humidity measurement unit.

An object of the present invention is to predict change of a combustion limit due to cycle variation of temperature and an EGR ratio and perform correction every cycle to decrease an amount of combustion consumption. Therefore, in an internal combustion engine control device that controls an internal combustion engine including a cylinder and an exhaust pipe, the internal combustion engine control device includes a control unit configured to perform EGR control of controlling an exhaust gas in the exhaust pipe to return to an inner cylinder of the cylinder, obtain temperature of the gas in the internal cylinder and an EGR ratio in a state where both an intake valve and an exhaust valve are closed in an combustion cycle, and correct a combustion parameter in a same combustion cycle as the combustion cycle on the basis of the obtained gas temperature and the obtained EGR ratio.

The invention provides an internal combustion engine control device capable of performing a stable combustion at a lean combustion limit. In an internal combustion engine control device that controls an internal combustion engine provided with an ignition device igniting an air-fuel mixture formed inside a combustion chamber, an intake side air temperature of the internal combustion engine is controlled in response to a compression ratio of the combustion chamber.
