A transfer unit includes, as transfer rollers, a first roller and a second roller, a first bearing member, a second bearing member, a roller holder, a first urging member, a second urging member, a switching cam, a driving mechanism, a unit frame, and a secured cam. By rotating the roller holder, one of the first and second rollers is arranged opposite an image carrying member and, by rotating the switching cam, the first or second roller arranged opposite the image carrying member is arranged selectively either at a reference position or at a released position. The secured cam includes a positioning recessed portion that performs positioning of the first or second roller arranged opposite the image carrying member.

A developer storing apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a developer container and a container supporting portion that holds the developer container at a predetermined attachment position. The developer container includes a container body, an inlet, a first handle portion, and a second handle portion. From the inlet, the developer is caused to flow inside the container body. The first handle portion is provided at the container upper portion of the container body. An image forming apparatus includes a sheet cassette, a waste developer container, a capacitance sensor, a partition conductor, and a state determination unit. The waste developer container is disposed adjacent to the sheet cassette, and the capacitance sensor is disposed between the waste developer container and the sheet cassette. The partition conductor partitions between the sheet in the sheet cassette and the capacitance sensor, and is grounded. The state determination unit determines an amount of the waste developer in the developer container, based on a detection signal of the electrostatic capacitance sensor.

An image reading apparatus includes a main body, a document pressing plate, and a light shielding portion. The main body has an image obtaining portion which irradiates illumination light on a document placed on a contact glass and captures an image formed on the document. The pivot shaft moves in an up-down direction with respect to the main body.
