A display device includes: multiple layers including a display element layer, the multiple layers including a sealing layer for covering the display element layer; and a polarization plate attached to a first layer and a second layer of the multiple layers with an adhesive layer. The multiple layers includes inorganic films and organic films. All of the inorganic films are disposed to avoid an edge area that is at least a part of a peripheral portion of the resin substrate. The polarization plate has an edge above the edge area of the resin substrate. The first layer is disposed to avoid the edge area of the resin substrate. The first layer at an edge has an upper surface sloping downward toward the edge area. The second layer has a portion in the edge area of the resin substrate and between the resin substrate and the adhesive layer.

Display device including an adhesive bonded polarization plate

A display device includes a display circuit layer including a first surface and a second surface and including a display area in which an image is displayed on the first surface, a heat conductive sheet overlapping the display circuit layer below the second surface, and an optical fingerprint sensor inside the display area below the heat conductive sheet and overlapping the display circuit layer. The heat conductive sheet includes a first area overlapping the optical fingerprint sensor and a second area overlapping the display area around the optical fingerprint sensor. The heat conductive sheet includes a heat conductive material, has a shape having a light transmittance required for sensing by the optical fingerprint sensor in the first area, and has no light transmittance in the second area.

Display device

A display module includes an insulating substrate and a plurality of pixels each located on the insulating substrate and including a light-emitting element layer. The insulating substrate includes a display area where the plurality of pixels are disposed, a picture-frame area outside the display area, an outer area that is in contact with an opposite side of the picture-frame area from the display area, and a plurality of terminals located on the outer area and arranged in a direction. The outer area includes a narrowed portion whose length in the direction is shorter than a length of the display area in the direction.

Display module

A display device includes a substrate including a display region arranged with pixels, and a terminal part on the outside of the display region, a polarizer overlapping the display region and the terminal part, the polarizer arranged with first wirings, a retardation plate overlapping the display region and the terminal part, the retardation plate between the pixels and the polarizer, and second wirings arranged in a direction intersecting the direction the first wirings is arranged, wherein an interval the first wirings is arranged is narrower than an interval the second wirings is arranged, the first wirings and the second wirings are arranged sandwiching a dielectric body, the first wirings and the second wirings are connected to a lead-out line, and an end of the retardation plate at the terminal part is closer to the display region than an end of the polarizer.

A display device includes a substrate having flexibility, a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface, a display part arranged with a plurality of pixels above the first surface of the substrate, a frame part having a drive element for driving the plurality of pixels arranged around the display part, a mounting part mounted above the first surface of the substrate and including an individual circuit element and a connection element, a first adhesive layer above the second surface of the substrate and opposing the display part and the frame part, a first support film above the first adhesive layer, a second adhesive layer above the second surface of the substrate and opposing the mounting part, and a second support film above the second adhesive layer, wherein the first adhesive layer and the first support film separated from the second adhesive layer and the second support film.

A display device in an embodiment according to the present invention includes a display region above a first substrate, the display region includes, a plurality of a pixels, a transistor arranged to each of the plurality of the pixels, a light emitting element arranged to each of plurality of the pixels, an interlayer insulating layer above the transistor, and a planarization film above the inter layer insulating layer, a terminal region above the first substrate in a periphery region of the display region, the terminal region including, a plurality of terminals, each of which includes a first conductive layer above the interlayer insulating layer, the planarization film is arranged in a side part of the first conductive layer, and an inorganic insulating layer covering an upper surface of planarization film and an end part of the first conductive layer.

A display device includes a substrate; a display portion located on the substrate, the display portion including a plurality of pixels; a first marker located in an end area that is along a longer side of the substrate and is in at least one of four corner areas of the substrate, the first marker extending in a longer axis direction of the substrate; and a second marker located in an end area that is along a shorter side of the substrate and is in the same corner area as that of the first marker, the second marker extending in a shorter axis direction of the substrate.

Protective element and method for manufacturing display device

A method of manufacturing a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: placing a component via an adhesive material on one side of a base material containing a resin and having display area; stacking a protective film via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the other side of the base material; and mounting the component on the base material by sandwiching and pressurizing the base material and the component using a pair of heads. An exposed portion in which no protective film is stacked is formed on the other side of the base material and is provided in correspondence with an area in which the component is provided, and one of the pair of heads has a contact portion, and the contact portion is housed within the exposed portion of the base material and the contact portion is brought into direct contact with the base material.

Display device and method of manufacturing a display device

A display device includes a bendable substrate having a first side and a second side, a display region above the first side of the substrate, a terminal portion above the first side of the substrate, a first protection film overlapping the display region on the second side of the substrate, a second protection film overlapping the terminal portion on the second side of the substrate, a magnet sheet in contact with the first protection film, and a metal sheet in contact with the second protection film, by bending the substrate in between the display region and the terminal portion, the magnet sheet and the metal sheet face each other, and the magnet sheet and the metal sheet adhere to each other to hold the substrate in a bent state.

A manufacturing method of a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: the display device including a protection plate having a light transmitting part facing an input or output device, and a display substrate having a display area, a light emitting film forming the step of forming an island-like light emitting film containing a light emitting material, in an area other than the display area in the display substrate; an alignment step of aligning the protection plate and the display substrate with each other; and an attaching step of attaching the protection plate to the display substrate.
