A capacitor includes a capacitor element, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first bus bar, a second bus bar, an exterior member, and a filler resin. The first electrode is disposed on an end face of the capacitor element. The second electrode is disposed on another end face of the capacitor element. The first bus bar is connected to the first electrode. The second bus bar is connected to the second electrode. The exterior member covers the capacitor element. The filler resin fills an interior of the exterior member. The exterior member includes a metal laminate film and has an opening to lead out a part of the first bus bar and a part of the second bus bar. The opening is sealed with the filler resin.

A metallized film capacitor includes: a first dielectric film; a first metal deposition electrode provided to a first surface of the first dielectric film; a second dielectric film; and a second metal deposition electrode that is provided to a first surface of the second dielectric film and that faces the first dielectric film. The metallized film capacitor further includes: a low resistance provided above at least one of a first end of the first metal deposition electrode and a first end of the second metal deposition electrode; and a first film that covers at least a portion of the low resistance and that comprises mainly aluminum oxide.

Metallized film capacitor

A metalized film capacitor includes a metal deposition electrode on a dielectric film. The metal deposition electrode includes slits provided and divided only at a side opposite to low resistance portions connected to a metalized contact, and fuses provided between the slits. In a laminated metalized film, slits provided at a central portion in a width direction of the metalized deposition electrode and extending in the longitudinal direction of the dielectric film do not overlap with each other.

A method of manufacturing a both-side metallized insulation film comprises steps of: depositing zinc or a blend of zinc and aluminum onto both sides of an insulation film; and winding this metallized film into a product roll. The method is characterized in spraying an oxidizing gas onto a deposited layer on an inner side of the insulation film to be wound, during the winding step. During a vacuum deposition step, an oil layer is formed on at least one side of the metallized film. In addition, an oxide layer is formed by exposing a deposited layer on at least one side to oxygen, or by spraying an oxygen-containing gas onto the deposited layer on at least one side during the winding of the metallized film into the product roll.
