The grasping treatment instrument includes a jaw including first and second rims and a recess with a bottom surface, and a grasping member with a ridge. When the grasping member is positioned at a first position, a component of the ridge between a second rotary axis and a distal end of the ridge protrudes to the opposite side from the bottom surface of the recess with respect to the first and second rims. When the grasping member is positioned at a second position, a component of the ridge between the second rotary axis and a proximal end of the ridge protrudes to the opposite side from the bottom surface of the recess with respect to the first and second rims.

Grasping treatment instrument

An energy surgical instrument includes first and second grasping pieces for grasping a blood vessel. At least one of the grasping pieces is designed to apply treatment energy to a grasped blood vessel. The instrument also includes a processor designed to set a wall thickness of the blood vessel, and a grasping force adjuster designed to adjust a grasping force applied by the first and second grasping pieces. A first grasping force is applied when the wall thickness set by the processor is larger than a predetermined thickness, and a second grasping force, which is larger than the first grasping force, is applied when the wall thickness set by the processor is equal to or smaller than the predetermined thickness. A treatment method includes applying treatment energy to a blood vessel grasped by the first and second grasping pieces of the instrument to seal the blood vessel.

Energy surgical instrument

An energy treatment instrument includes a pair of grasping pieces, and the grasping pieces grasp a treated target therebetween by closing relative to each other. At least one of the grasping pieces includes an energy applying portion which treats the treated target by applying treatment energy to the grasped treated target. At least one of the grasping pieces includes a hauler hauling the treated target toward an inside in a width direction of the grasping pieces, when the grasping pieces close relative to each other in a state that the treated target is disposed between the grasping pieces.

A grasping treatment instrument includes a holder openable and closable relative to a treatment section. A pad extends straight in a natural state, and is attached along an installation surface of the holder. A holder inclined surface is provided on the installation surface, and inclines in a state that the holder inclined surface extends toward a treatment section side as extending toward a distal side. A pad inclined surface is formed in the pad attached to the holder, and is formed in a state that the pad inclined surface is elastically deformed along an inclination of the holder inclined surface. A surgical instrument includes: a clamp section main body which is movable between a close position that is close to a vibration transmission member and an away position that is away from the vibration transmission member; a pressure pad provided on the clamp section main body and provided on a position that is close to the vibration transmission member, the pressure pad being brought into contact with the vibration transmission member when the clamp section main body is in the close position; and a pressing member which is configured to press the vibration transmission member in association with the clamp section main body coming close to the close position, and is configured to decrease pressure of contact between the pressure pad and the vibration transmission member.

An ultrasonic treatment instrument includes a vibration transmitting member transmitting ultrasonic vibration toward a first gripper and formed as one piece, and a second gripper movable between a spaced position where the second gripper is spaced apart from the first gripper and a closed position where the second gripper is put in close to the first gripper. The ultrasonic treatment instrument includes an interlocking actuator increasing, by moving the first gripper in interlock with a movement of the second gripper to the spaced position, a spacing distance between the first gripper and the second gripper in accordance with a movement of the first gripper.

A gripping unit includes a supporting section in which at least its entire surface is made of an insulating material, and a swing section swingable about a swing axis relative to the supporting section. The swing section includes a jaw-side facing surface opposed to a treatment section, and a jaw-side electrode section functioning as an electrode when high-frequency energy is transmitted. The support member covers the swing section from a distal direction, both of width directions, and an open direction of the jaw, and the swing section is externally exposed only on the jaw-side facing surface.
