The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolytic solution capable of improving electrochemical characteristics in the case of using an energy storage device at a high temperature and at a high voltage and further capable of inhibiting the gas generation while maintaining a capacity retention rate after storage at a high temperature and at a high voltage and also provides an energy storage device using the same. Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolytic solution having an electrolyte salt dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent, the nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing a carboxylic acid ester compound represented by the following general formula (I). In the formula, each of Rand Rindependently represents a hydrogen atom, a &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;ORgroup, or the like, and Rand Rmay be bonded to each other to form a ring structure. Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or the like, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3. When n is 1, then L and Rrepresent an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or the like; and when n is 2 or 3, then L represents an n-valent connecting group, X represents a &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014; group, an &#x2014;S(&#x2550;O)&#x2014; group, an &#x2014;S(&#x2550;O)&#x2014; group, an &#x2014;S(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;R&#x2014;S(&#x2550;O)&#x2014; group or a CRRgroup, Rrepresents an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and each of Rand Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms.

The object of the present invention is to provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution that can improve the electrochemical properties in a broad temperature range and an electrochemical device using the same. A nonaqueous electrolytic solution prepared by dissolving an electrolyte salt in a nonaqueous solvent, wherein the nonaqueous solvent includes 0.1 to 30% by volume of a fluorine atom-containing cyclic carbonate, and further the nonaqueous electrolytic solution includes 0.001 to 5% by mass of a branched dinitrile compound in which the main chain of an alkylene chain linking the two nitrile groups has 2 or more and 4 or less of the carbon number.

Disclosed are a nonaqueous electrolytic solution of an electrolyte salt dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent, which contains a sulfonate compound having a specific structure in an amount of from 0.01 to 10% by mass of the nonaqueous electrolytic solution, and an electrochemical device containing the nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The nonaqueous electrolytic solution is excellent in the effect of improving the storage property of primary batteries and improving the cycle property of secondary batteries in use thereof at high temperatures and the low-temperature property thereof after high-temperature cycles.

A non-aqueous electrolytic solution is advantageously used in preparation of a lithium secondary battery excellent in cycle characteristics. In the non-aqueous electrolytic solution for a lithium secondary battery, an electrolyte salt is dissolved in a non-aqueous solvent. The non-aqueous electrolytic solution further contains a vinylene carbonate compound in an amount of 0.01 to 10 wt. %, and an alkyne compound in an amount of 0.01 to 10 wt. %.

The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolytic solution in which an electrolyte salt is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent, containing 0.01% to 30% by weight of a 1,2-cyclohexanediol derivative having a specific structure; and a lithium secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The lithium secondary battery exhibits excellent battery characteristics such as electrical capacity, cycle property, and storage property and can maintain excellent long-term battery performance.
