A computing device includes: a tomographic image acquisition unit that acquires a plurality of tomographic images representing shapes of reinforcing fibers and shapes of resin in a plurality of cross sections obtained when an article containing the reinforcing fibers and the resin is divided in parallel; and a computing unit that calculates a rigidity parameter of each of a plurality of small regions obtained by dividing the article, based on the plurality of acquired tomographic images.

A multilayer coil component includes an element body including a plurality of metal magnetic particles, and a plurality of coil conductors. The plurality of coil conductors is disposed in the element body. The plurality of coil conductors is separated from each other in a predetermined direction and electrically connected to each other. The plurality of coil conductors includes one pair of side surfaces opposing each other in the predetermined direction. Surface roughness of the one pair of side surfaces is less than 40% of an average particle size of the plurality of metal magnetic particles.

Multilayer coil component

A multilayer coil component includes an element body containing a plurality of metal magnetic particles and a resin existing between the plurality of metal magnetic particles and a coil disposed in the element body and configured to include a plurality of electrically interconnected coil conductors. At least one of the plurality of coil conductors has a spiral shape and has conductor portions adjacent to each other when viewed from a direction along a coil axis of the coil. The conductor portion includes a straight conductor portion extending in a straight line and a connecting conductor portion connecting the straight conductor portion and constituting a corner portion of the coil conductor. The metal magnetic particles between the connecting conductor portions adjacent to each other are lower in density than the metal magnetic particles between the straight conductor portions adjacent to each other.

A multilayer coil component includes an element body and a plurality of coil conductors. The element body includes a plurality of metal magnetic particles and resin existing between the plurality of metal magnetic particles. The plurality of coil conductors is disposed in the element body, the plurality of coil conductors being separated from each other in a predetermined direction and electrically connected to each other. The plurality of metal magnetic particles included in the element body includes a plurality of metal magnetic particles having a particle size equal to or greater than one third of a distance between the coil conductors adjacent to each other in the predetermined direction and equal to or less than a half of the distance. Non-spherical tank and liquefied gas carrier ship equipped with the non-spherical tanks

A process for the high speed production of fiber reinforced plastic moldings forms several preforms which are solidified with chopped fibers, resin powders and a binder and are held between two preheating plates. Each plate is formed of a thin metal plate and will preheat the preforms to a temperature higher than the melting point of the resin. While the preforms are held between the preheating plates, the preforms are cold-pressed in a mold maintained at a temperature lower than the melting point of the resin for simultaneous impregnation and cooling of the resin. In addition, a preforming mold is placed in a vacuum chamber and precut chopped fibers are positioned in a tank. The preforming mold is placed into the tank and an exhauster is actuated to vacuumize both the vacuum chamber and the preforming mold, thereby adsorbing the chopped fibers in the tank onto the preforming mold and forming on the surface of the preforming mold an unsolidified preform comprising the chopped fibers. Resin powders are sprayed onto the preform for adsorption. A binder is subsequently applied under reduced pressure onto the preform. After drying the preform, the chopped fibers along with the binder are solidified.
