A magnetic shield cover for an encoder of magnetic detection type includes a soft magnetic section and a non-magnetic section. The soft magnetic section is formed to cover a magnetic detection element and a magnet and has an opening for avoiding a situation that a part of the soft magnetic section prevents a magnetic field from the magnet from passing through the magnetic detection element. The non-magnetic section is provided in the opening of the soft magnetic section.

A sealing-member-equipped shielded cable includes a shielded cable that includes shielded wires and a sealing member that is molded from a resin and that includes an electrically conductive member in at least a portion thereof. The sealing member is integrally formed on one end portion of the shielded cable, and the shielded wires are electrically connected to the electrically conductive member of the sealing member.

A batteryless absolute encoder determines the accuracy of absolute position information to be output when electric power is turned on and outputs an alarm signal in the case of abnormality. The batteryless absolute encoder includes an absolute position computing section, an absolute position storing section, and a determining section. The absolute position computing section computes the absolute position of a spindle to be detected, including the number of revolutions of the spindle, based upon detection signals output from four reluctance resolvers. The absolute position storing section stores the absolute position output from the absolute position computing section when electric power is turned off. The determining section compares an absolute position output from the absolute position computing section when electric power is turned on and the stored absolute position and outputs an alarm signal if a difference between the two absolute positions is larger than a predetermined value.

Batterless absolute encoder

A magnetic absolute encoder with enhanced resolution is provided. A first cycle determining sectionutilizes data stored in a fourth angle data storing sectionto determine in which cycle of m cycles of the fourth angle data, fifth angle data, which has been newly computed in response to rotation of a rotary shaft, occurs. A second cycle determining sectiondetermines in which cycle of n cycles of first angle data that occur in first determined cycle, the newly computed fifth angle data occurs. A third cycle determining sectiondetermines in which cycle of N1 cycles of the first angle data, the current first angle data occurs, based on the first determined cycle and second determined cycle. An absolute position determining sectiondetermines the absolute position based on third determined cycle and the digital value of the current first angle data.

An inductor-type resolver capable of reducing a residual voltage by providing a correction winding inside the resolver is provided. Two magnetic pole portionsandinclude winding portions Wand W, respectively, which constitute a first signal detecting winding W. Two magnetic pole portionsandinclude winding portions Wand W, respectively, which constitute a second signal detecting winding W. A remaining magnetic pole portion Wincludes a correction winding Wfor obtaining a correction voltage used for reducing the residual voltage.

Inductor-type resolver

A resolver detected position compensation system for a resolver is provided that can enhance a position detection precision by performing a further compensation on a compensated position that was obtained from a static error compensation. The position detection circuit outputs a compensated detected position signal in which a static error has been compensated. The differential circuit differentiates the compensated detected position signal to obtain a rotational speed of the resolver. Based on a signal representing the rotational speed output from the differential circuit, the phase data memory device and the peak value memory device send the variation in phase and the amplitude peak value, respectively, of the dynamic error signal to the multiplication device. The multiplication device calculates an estimated dynamic error and the subtraction circuit removes the estimated dynamic error from the compensated detected position signal.
