A method of processing a workpiece includes sticking an adhesive layer side of a resin sheet having a layered structure that includes the adhesive layer and a base material layer, to a support base, forming surface irregularities on a face side of the base material layer that is opposite the adhesive layer; placing a face side of the workpiece and the face side of the base material layer in facing relation to each other and pressing the workpiece against the resin sheet or pressing the resin sheet against the workpiece, thereby bringing the workpiece into intimate contact with the resin sheet to fix the workpiece to the resin sheet; holding a surface of the support base that is opposite the resin sheet on a holding surface of a chuck table, and grinding a reverse side of the workpiece with a grinding stone disposed in facing relation to the holding surface.

Method of processing workpiece and resin sheet unit

A method of processing a workpiece includes sticking an adhesive layer side of a resin sheet having a layered structure that includes an adhesive layer and a base material layer, to an annular frame having an opening in covering relation to the opening, forming surface irregularities on a face side of the base material layer that is opposite the adhesive layer, placing the face side of the workpiece and the face side of the base material layer in facing relation to each other and pressing the workpiece against the resin sheet or pressing the resin sheet against the workpiece, thereby bringing the workpiece into intimate contact with the resin sheet to fix the workpiece to the resin sheet, holding the face side of the workpiece fixed to the resin sheet on a holding surface of a chuck table, and grinding the reverse side of the workpiece with a grinding stone.

An inter-application data transmitting system having an application intermediary unit which mediates data to be transmitted between a network and one of multiple business applications for exchanging the data among the multiple applications interconnected over the network without changing the business application even if the access procedures, data formats, and communication protocols of the multiple applications are different from each other. The application intermediary unit is provided with an access procedure control unit for controlling an access procedure, a data format conversion unit for converting a data format, and a communication control unit for controlling communication between the multiple business applications having different communication protocols. The application intermediary unit further includes an application control unit for controlling those elements.

Inter-application data transmitting system and method

Data is exchanged among interconnected applications over a network in a mutual use of data and functions without modifying an existing application system. The inter-application data transmission/reception is achieved by a resident agent for controlling an application based upon a flow control rule to obtain data in a format dependent on the application and converting the format of the obtained data into an intermediate format based upon a first data format conversion rule so as to transmit the obtained and converted data in the intermediate format or converting the intermediate format of received data into the format dependent on the application based upon a second data format conversion rule so as to update the obtained data in the format dependent on the application with the received and converted data in the format dependent on the application based upon the flow control rule.

Inter-application data transmitting/receiving system and method

A text information extraction device extracts analysis networks from texts and stores them in a database. The analysis networks consist of lines each including elements and relations extracted from the texts. The analysis networks are complemented via synonym/near synonym/thesaurus process and via complementary template and the lines thereof are weighted via concept template. A text similarity matching device judges similarity of input and database analysis networks on the basis of agreements of words, word pairs, and lines. A text search system stores texts and complementary term lists prepared therefrom in respective databases. Queries are inputted in the form of analysis networks from which sets of keywords and relations are extracted. After searching the texts and complementary term lists stored in databases with respect to the keywords extracted from each input query, agreements of the sets of keywords and relations are determined.
