A flat-shaped winding electrode body in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are wound with a separator interposed therebetween includes a positive electrode tab portion and a negative electrode tab portion at one end in a direction in which a winding axis of the winding electrode body extends. Two pieces of the flat-shaped winding electrode body are housed in a prismatic outer body so that the winding axis of each piece is disposed in a direction perpendicular to a sealing plate, and the positive electrode tab portion and the negative electrode tab portion are located on one end of the winding electrode body closer to the sealing plate than the other end.

An electrode body including positive electrode plate and negative electrode plate includes a positive electrode tab portion at an end portion on the sealing plate side. A first electrode body element and a second electrode body element including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are fabricated, a first positive electrode tab group of the first electrode body element and a second positive electrode tab group of the second electrode body element are connected to a lead portion of a positive electrode collector attached to a sealing plate, a first negative electrode tab group of the first electrode body element and a second negative electrode tab group of the second electrode body element are connected to a lead portion of a negative electrode collector attached to the sealing plate, and the first electrode body element and the second electrode body element are arranged together as one such that an electrode body is formed.

Method for manufacturing prismatic secondary battery

An electrode body including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate include a positive electrode tab portion at an end portion on a sealing plate side, a positive electrode collector electrically connected to the positive electrode plate include a collector body portion, a collector extension portion, a collector connection, and a collector connection portion. A pressure-sensitive current breaking mechanism includes a conductive member having an opening portion on an electrode body side, a deformation plate that seals the opening portion, and a collector body portion disposed on the electrode body side of the deformation plate and connected to the deformation plate. The collector extension portion is offset from the collector body portion and is disposed on the sealing plate side with respect to the collector body portion. Positive electrode tab portion is connected to the collector connection bent back at an end portion of the collector extension portion.

An electrode body including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate is accommodated in a prismatic outer package having an opening. The opening of the prismatic outer package is sealed with a sealing plate. The electrode body includes positive electrode tab portions stacked at an end portion on the sealing plate side. The stacked positive electrode tab portions are divided into two forming a first tab group and a second tab group. A resin member serving as a holding member holding a metal member is fixed to the sealing plate. The metal member is disposed between the first tab group and the second tab group.
