A mixed powder for a low temperature cofired ceramic material that contains 65 to 80 parts by weight of SiO, 5 to 25 parts by weight of BaO, 1 to 10 parts by weight of AlO, 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of MnO, 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of BO, and 0.1 to less than 3 parts by weight of LiO. The ceramic sintered body is used for, for example, ceramic electronic components, e.g., a multilayer circuit board or a coupler.

Low temperature cofired ceramic material, ceramic sintered body, and ceramic electronic component

A glass-ceramic-ferrite composition contains glass, a ceramic filler, and Ni&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Cu ferrite. The glass contains about 0.5% by weight or more of RO, where R is at least one selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, and K; about 5.0% by weight or less of AlO; about 10.0% by weight or more of BO; and about 85.0% by weight or less of SiOon the basis of the weight of the glass. The Ni&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Cu ferrite accounts for about 58% to 64% by weight of the glass-ceramic-ferrite composition. The ceramic filler contains quartz and, in some cases, forsterite. The quartz accounts for about 4% to 13% by weight of the glass-ceramic-ferrite composition. The forsterite accounts for about 6% by weight or less of the glass-ceramic-ferrite composition.

A composite laminate ceramic electronic component that includes co-fired low dielectric constant ceramic layers and high dielectric constant ceramic layers. The low dielectric constant ceramic layers and high dielectric constant ceramic layers are each composed of a glass ceramic containing: a first ceramic composed of at least one of MgAlOand MgSiO; a second ceramic composed of BaO, REO(RE is a rare earth element), and TiO; glass containing each of 44.0-69.0 wt % of RO (R is an alkaline-earth metal), 14.2-30.0 wt % of SiO, 10.0-20.0 wt % of BO, 0.5-4.0 wt % of AlO, 0.3-7.5 wt % of LiO, and 0.1-5.5 wt % of MgO; and MnO. The content ratios of the first ceramic, second ceramic, glass, and MnO are varied between the low dielectric constant ceramic layers and the high dielectric constant ceramic layers, wherein the content of MnO in the low dielectric constant ceramic layers is 7.5-18.5 wt % MnO.

Composite laminate ceramic electronic component

A ceramic composition is prepared to contain a BO&#x2014;SiO&#x2014;AlO-MO based glass composition (M: Ca, Mg, Sr and/or Ba, BO: 4 to 17.5 weight %, SiO: 28 to 50 weight %, AlO: 0 to 20 weight %, and MO: 36 to 50 weight %): 24 to 40 weight %, SrTiOand/or CaTiO: 46 to 75.4 weight %, CuO: 0.1 to 5.0 weight %, CaO: 0.5 to 7.0 weight %, and MnO, ZnO and/or CoO: 10 weight % or more (however, including 0% by weight). The ceramic composition is subjected to firing to produce a ceramic sintered body, and obtain a composite LC component including the ceramic sintered body. While suppressing the shrinkage behavior during firing, dielectric properties can be improved dramatically as compared with conventional cases, and moreover reliability can be ensured.

An air bag is unfolded on a planar surface and is inflated with air. The air bag is loosely sandwiched between the upper and lower blades that are arranged in a radial configuration. Movable blocks progress toward the center to fold the upper and lower panels of the air bag against the central part of the air bag. The resulting central folded part of the air bag has a wave-like configuration, and the upper and lower panels are separated from each other. The ear-like portions of the air bag are wound around the central folded part of the air bag that is folded in a wave-like configuration. Then, the central part of the air bag is pressed downward to complete the folding process. Gas can be supplied smoothly from the inlet port to the periphery when the air bag is reinflated. The method for folding the air bag is simple, and the air bag can be inflated quickly.

A steering wheel includes a boss, a spoke, and an air bag apparatus with a bag and a synthetic resin cover. When the vehicle is subjected to a collision, the bag is inflated and rupture opens a front wall of the cover. The front wall has two side rupture lines, a dividing rupture line between the side rupture lines, a center rupture line from the dividing rupture line, and two upper hinges between the side rupture lines and the center rupture line. When the cover ruptures open, the rupture lines rupture, causing each lid to bend and swing about the upper hinges. The dividing rupture line is disposed at a position so that the upper lids do not interfere with the rim.

Steering wheel for a vehicle

There is provided a varistor having high surge resisting capability in spite of its small size and a method of manufacturing the same. The varistor is mainly composed of zinc oxide and contains a composite oxide expressed by the chemical formula Zn SnO . It is manufactured using a method wherein zinc oxide and tin oxide are mixed; the mixture is subjected to a thermal process thereafter to obtain a composite oxide expressed by the chemical formula Zn SnO ; and the composite oxide is combined with the zinc oxide which is the main component and a thermal process is performed to obtain a raw material for the varistor.

A core bar includes upper and lower half shells, each having a boss portion including a boss-edge coupling part for coupling the shells along the edges, a shaft fixing part placed substantially in the center of the boss portion and mounted to a steering shaft, and a weak part placed between the boss-edge coupling part and the shaft fixing part and wherein the shells face each other without being coupled; and a rim portion including a rim-edge coupling part for coupling the shells along the edges and a rim hollow part defined between the shells. A spoke portion is interposed between the boss and the rim portions, and includes a spoke-edge coupling part for coupling the shells along the edges and a spoke hollow part defined between the shells.
