A bidirectional shock absorber includes a cylinder housing including a liquid chamber, a shock-absorbing mechanism located inside the liquid chamber and supported by a rod sticking out of the cylinder housing. The shock-absorbing mechanism includes a pair of pistons located in the liquid chamber and attached to the rod on the respective sides of a liquid storage chamber constituting an accumulator, resistance paths formed between an outer circumferential surface of the pistons and an inner circumferential surface of a piston chamber, to apply flow resistance to the liquid, and unidirectional flow paths formed along the respective pistons and configured to block the liquid flow toward the liquid storage chamber when the corresponding piston is pressed toward the piston chamber, but to permit the liquid to flow in the opposite direction.

Bi-directional shock absorbing device

A hollow yoke is inserted into a bore section of a frame. The yoke is connected to a slider via a slit in the frame. A timing belt is inserted into a belt hole of the yoke. Further, a pair of guide members are provided on both side surfaces of the yoke, which engage with guide grooves of the frame. The yoke is displaced along the guide grooves by the timing belt, under a driving action of a driving section. Accordingly, the slider is displaced in the axial direction along the frame.

Electric actuator

A slider is displaceable in an axial direction on guide sections of a cylinder tube through a guide mechanism. A first elastic member is interposed between a first bearing support member of the guide mechanism and one retaining section of the slider. A bearing installed in the first bearing support member, is pressed continuously toward the guide section. A second bearing support member is installed via a second elastic member between the guide section and another retaining section of the slider. A bearing provided on the second bearing support member is pressed toward the guide section by means of a resilient force of the second elastic member.

Guide mechanism for cylinder apparatus

A coupler is provided inside an engaging hole of a piston yoke, which is connected to pistons. A slider is installed on an upper portion of the coupler through a coupler-insertion hole. An engaging member, provided at a lower portion of the coupler, is inserted into the engaging hole so as to be displaceable by a slight amount in the widthwise direction of a cylinder tube. The coupler is inserted into the coupler-insertion hole of the slider, so that the coupler-insertion hole is slidable with respect to curved surface sections of the coupler.

Displacement difference-absorbing mechanism for cylinder apparatus

A slider is displaceable in an axial direction on guide sections of a cylinder tube. Bearings are installed with the slider, so that the bearings are opposed to the guide sections. Bearings are also installed on first and second bearing support members, which are provided respectively at retaining sections of the slider. When the slider is displaced in the axial direction along the cylinder tube, only one end surface of one of the flange sections of the bearing is pressed, depending on the displacement direction of the slider, in order to effect displacement in an integrated manner.

Linear actuator

An electric actuator comprises a rotary driving source, a timing belt which is circled or orbited under the driving action of the rotary driving source, a slider which is displaced by the timing belt in the axial direction, and a belt-adjusting mechanism which is connected to a side surface of the slider. Both ends of the timing belt are connected to the belt-adjusting mechanism respectively. The tension of the timing belt is adjusted by rotating an adjusting screw of the belt-adjusting mechanism.

The stop positions of start and end points for a slider are set by positionally adjusting a stopper and/or a stopper. The distance that the slider has traveled is learned according to a command from a control console in response to a manipulation of a learning manipulation element, and at least one of a speed and an acceleration is set by a speed regulator and an acceleration regulator. The control console outputs a drive signal to a motor based on at least one of the set speed in constant-speed movement of the slider and the set acceleration of accelerated movement of the slider and the learned distance that the slider has traveled, thereby moving the slider. For moving the slider to the start point or the end point, the control console controls the slider to move at a speed lower than the speed in constant-speed movement, and positions the slider at the start point or the end point.

Electric actuator and method of controlling the same

An angle &thgr;, which is formed by an axis of a horizontal roller rotatably attached to a slider and an axis of an inclined roller, is about 60&deg;, and a load-bearing capacity of the horizontal roller is about a half of that of the inclined roller. Accordingly, the load resistance is substantially constant in four directions, i.e., in upward, downward, rightward, and leftward directions irrespective of attachment posture.

Linear guide mechanism

A rodless cylinder comprises a cylinder tube, and a slide table which is movable back and forth along the cylinder tube. A cover member is fixed to the cylinder tube in a state in which an attachment base is secured to the slide table. A dust-preventive member is integrally interposed by an inner wall of the cover member, a side wall of the cylinder tube, and a side wall of the attachment base. The dust-preventive member is provided to be capable of making elastic deformation in a direction of the arrow B perpendicular to a direction of the arrow A.

Transfer apparatus

A rail member and a rodless cylinder are arranged closely substantially in parallel to one another, and shock absorbers and the rail member are arranged closely substantially in parallel to one another. Accordingly, it is possible to arrange, in an ideal layout, the three components of the rail member, the rodless cylinder, and the shock absorbers. Further, it is possible to realize a compact size of the entire apparatus.

An end cover and a coupler, which construct a load-absorbing mechanism, make sliding displacement in a state of relative surface-to-surface contact respectively. Thus, the load, which is exerted in the horizontal and vertical directions, in the rotational direction about the axis, in the rotational direction about the perpendicular to the axis, and in various directions given by combining these directions in a complex manner, is absorbed.

Rodless cylinder

A rodless cylinder has a linear guide which primarily bears loads F.sub.1, F.sub.2, F.sub.3 applied to a slide table and a table guide which secondarily bears those loads F.sub.1, F.sub.2, F.sub.3. The table guide has a centering function performed by being displaced a small distance in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis thereof when a load is applied to the slide table.
