A component-mounting block of an electronic component-mounting apparatus has mounting heads installed thereon. Each mounting head has a nozzle-replacing device for replacing at least one selected sucking nozzle by at least one other sucking nozzle to be newly selected. The replacement is possible during travel of the component-mounting block between a mounting position and a sucking position effected by a X-Y moving stage. At least one mounting head carries at least one sucking nozzle rotatable about a vertical axis of a nozzle holder. The mounting head has the nozzle holder, and an engaging member holder. Sucking nozzles are circumferentially arranged about the vertical axis of the nozzle holder and vertically retractably held by the nozzle holder. The engaging member holder holds engaging members which engageably face the nozzles. The nozzles are engaged with the engaging members when the holders are relatively vertically moved toward each other, and are retracted when the holders are moved away from each other. The engagement can be prevented. A selected engaging member is prevented from engaging with a corresponding sucking nozzle by rotating the holders about the vertical axis. Alternatively, at least one nozzle is disengaged from a corresponding engaging member at a desired rotational angle of the holders.

Electronic component-mounting apparatus and mounting head device therefor

There is provided a motor and an electronic parts-mounting apparatus incorporating the motor. The motor includes a rotor and a stator. The stator is comprised of a stator core formed of laminate of steel plates and arranged in a manner opposed to the rotor, holding members arranged on opposite ends of the laminate of the steel plates of the stator core, and bolts for fastening the two holding members to each other. The stator core extends to locations at which the bolts extend through the stator core.

Motor and electronic parts-mounting apparatus incorporating the motor

An automatic electronic parts mounting device wherein a feed table having a plurality of parts feed units, which guide chip parts stored in a storeroom for parts to a shoot connected with said storeroom and separate the parts from an exit of the shoot by a separating device to feed them to a parts feeding position, moves to a direction arranged of said unit and a suction nozzle picks up the chip parts from desired said unit suspended at a parts picking-up position to mount it to a printed substrate, wherein there are provided an air jet passage arranged in each parts feed unit for jetting air so as to stir and guide chip parts stored in the storeroom for parts or to transfer chip parts aligned in the shoot to the exit side of the shoot, an air feed device for feeding air to said air jet passage, and an attaching/detaching device arranged outside said feed table for attaching/detaching the air feed device to said air jet passage, is disclosed. According to the device of the present invention, when the attaching/detaching device attaches the air feed means to the air jet passage in the parts feed unit, it makes possible to jet air from the air jet passage to stir the chip parts or to transfer them in the shoot, and detachment of the air feed means makes the feed table movable.

Automatic electronic parts mounting device

A parts feed apparatus comprising a tape feeder which intermittently feeds a tape to a predetermined parts pickup position. A cover tape seals electronic parts at substantially equal intervals along a base tape. The apparatus includes a tape separator which separates the cover tape from the base tape and a parts pickup element which is positioned to block the parts from leaving the parts pickup position as the cover tape is being separated from the base tape. Thus, even when the electronic parts stick to the cover tape during removal, the parts pickup element blocks them from leaving the parts pickup position. The parts pickup element is then used to pick up the electronic parts from the parts pickup position. The tape feeder preferably provides slack to the cover tape before the cover tape is separated.

Parts feed apparatus

An electronic parts automatic mounting apparatus is disclosed in which a plurality of suction nozzles are provided on the peripheral edge of an intermittently rotating turntable. Electronic parts are delivered to the turntable from a part supply portion, with the parts suctioned and held by the suction nozzles. The electronic parts are then transferred, positioned and mounted on a print substrate placed on an X-Y table. The apparatus is provided with part adjustment means for subjecting the electronic parts suctioned and held by the suction nozzle to various stepwise adjustments at a plurality of working stations provided during the part transfer. The part adjusting means comprise a plurality of positioning working units for positioning electronic parts arranged in correspondence to one part positioning station of the working units, each of the positioning working units being selectively actuated according to the size and shape of the electronic parts. Thus, the positioning of the electronic parts prior to mounting on the print substrate can be carried out with high accuracy, eliminating the necessity for replacing the apparatus according to the size and shape of the tipped parts.

Electronic parts automatic mounting apparatus

A printed circuit board positioning apparatus includes a table with a support member, a pair of circuit board guiding/transporting units, a first positioning unit, and a second positioning unit. The pair of circuit board guiding/transporting units is provided on the table to be moved toward or away from the table, sandwiches both end faces of the printed circuit board in a direction perpendicular to a flowing direction of the printed circuit board therebetween, and guides/transports the printed circuit board in its flowing direction. The first positioning unit positions the printed circuit board in the direction perpendicular to the flowing direction using the pair of circuit board guiding/transporting units. The second positioning unit elastically urges both end faces of the printed circuit board in its flowing direction, in association with approaching motion of the circuit board guiding/transporting units toward the table, and before the printed circuit board is supported by the support member on the table. An urging mechanism is additionally provided to one of the circuit board guiding/transporting units which constitutes the first positioning unit and which is movable in the direction perpendicular to the flowing direction of the printed circuit board. The urging mechanism is able to change an urging position when the circuit board is urged in a direction perpendicular to a flowing direction of the printed circuit board.

Printer circuit board positioning apparatus

An automatic mounting apparatus mounts chip-type electronic components on a printed circuit board. A plurality of chip-type electronic components are held at nearly equal intervals in the longitudinal direction of a tape, and this tape is drawn out from a tape reel to a feedout unit accommodated in a reel cassette together with the tape reel. The chip-type components are picked up one by one in sequence from the tape at the position of the feedout unit by a vacuum chuck, being placed on a predetermined position on the printed circuit board by this vacuum chuck. In the vicinity of the end of the tape holding the chip-type electronic components, a residual quantity indicator capable of mechanical detection is formed. When this residual quantity indicator is detected, the controller drives an alarm device such as, for example, a buzzer or a light emitter to inform that the chip-type electronic components on the tape will soon run out. Accordingly, the operator can prepare another new reel cassette before the chip-type electronic components on the tape run out.
