A power converter includes a power module, a terminal block, a housing that houses the power module and the terminal block, and a bus bar that electrically connects the power module and a conductive member connected to an electric component outside the housing. The terminal block is a member that electrically connects the bus bar and the conductive member, has a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface, and a connection surface that connects the first surface and the second surface, and includes a fastening member provided on the second surface to be movable with respect to the terminal block. The bus bar is formed between the power module and the conductive member to surround the first surface, the connection surface, and the second surface of the terminal block, and is connected to the conductive member on the second surface via the fastening member.

A liquid ejection head includes a substrate having an ejection energy generating element formed at a first surface side thereof, a common liquid chamber formed at a second surface of the substrate, and a liquid supply port extending from the bottom of the common liquid chamber to the first surface. The liquid ejection head is manufactured by preparing a substrate having the common liquid chamber formed at the second surface side, then arranging a material to be filled in the common liquid chamber, subsequently forming an aperture in the filled material as corresponding to the liquid supply port to be formed, and thereafter forming the liquid supply port by reactive ion etching, using at least the filled material as a mask.

The present invention provides an ink jet print head having a channel shape that meets an intended purpose, and a method for manufacturing the ink jet print head. In the method for manufacturing the ink jet print head, an SIO SOI substrate is prepared which has a first silicon layer, a second silicon layer, and an insulating layer. A sacrifice layer is formed on the first monocrystal silicon layer. An etching stop layer is formed over the sacrifice layer. An energy generating element is formed on a surface of the SOI substrate. Etching is performed on the second silicon layer and the insulating layer to form an ink supply port. The supply port is formed by etching. The first silicon layer is etched to form a liquid channel. A part of the etching stop layer is removed to form an ejection port.

Ink jet print head and method of manufacturing ink jet print head

Full-mesh WDM transmission units, each of which includes n number of interfaces and is capable of establishing a bidirectional full-mesh communication between all of the interfaces using wavelength paths based on a wavelength division multiplexing technique, are connected in a multistage tree-shaped structure by internetwork connection units through edge-packet transfer units connected to the respective interfaces. Therefore, it is possible to hold a direct communication between user terminals connected to the edge-packet transfer units of the same full-mesh WDM transmission unit, and to realize scalability by a multistage connection configuration.

A method for manufacturing a substrate for a liquid discharge head provided with a silicon substrate and a supply port, including: providing the silicon substrate having an insulating layer on a first surface and an etching mask layer having a plurality of apertures on a second surface which is a rear surface of the first surface, wherein the insulating layer is provided in a region ranging from a position opposing the apertures to a position opposing a portion between the adjacent apertures of the mask layer; and forming holes by etching a silicon part of the silicon substrate so that an etched region reaches a portion of the insulating layer opposing the apertures, wherein the silicon wall provided between the adjacent holes is etched so that the portion in the first surface side thereof can be thinner than the portion in the second surface side thereof.

An ink jet recording head includes a substrate, having a front surface and a back surface opposite from the front surface, provided above the front surface with an energy generating element for generating energy used for ejecting ink; an ink supply port provided so as to penetrate between the front surface and the back surface of the substrate; a first layer provided on or above the front surface of the substrate; a protection layer which is provided so as to coat a wall of the substrate defining the ink supply port and which continuously extends onto the first layer; and a second layer located above the front surface of the substrate and including a portion provided on the protection layer and another portion provided on the first layer by penetrating through the protection layer.

A method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head includes providing a first layer containing a metal nitride to at least a portion on one surface of a silicon substrate corresponding to a supply port; providing a second layer on the first layer, the second layer including any one of aluminum, copper, and gold, or an alloy thereof; etching a portion of the silicon substrate corresponding to the supply port by reactive ion etching in a direction from the reverse surface towards the one surface so that the etched region reaches the first layer; and removing a portion of the first layer corresponding to the supply port and then removing a portion of the second layer corresponding to the supply port, thus forming the supply port.

The substrate of the ink jet recording head has a plurality of separate flow paths corresponding to discharge pressure generating elements, a common flow path communicating with the separate flow paths, an ink supply port communicating with the common flow path and supplying ink to the common flow path, and a plurality of beam portions dividing the ink supply port. A recess is formed on the common flow path, extending to the separate flow paths formed nearest to the beam portion.

A packet communication network is connected between a first external network and a second external network. The packet communication network includes a classifier, a parallel network that includes a plurality of physically or logically independent networks, and a multiplexing router. The classifier classifies a packet input from the first external network to one of the networks in the parallel network. Each of the networks in the parallel network transmits the packet to the multiplexing router. The multiplexing router multiplexes a packet received from the networks in the parallel network and outputs the multiplexed packet to the second external network.
