A printer as a medium processing apparatus includes a transport path through which a paper being transported passes, a recording head that records on the paper on the transport path, and a platen that forms at least a portion of the transport path as a path forming member with which the paper comes into contact, in which a surface resistance value of the path forming member changes according to an applied voltage of the medium.

A plate-shaped main body, has a first face formed with a recess portion defined by a bottom face and side walls and a second face which is opposite to the first face. The circular plate has a plurality of flags formed on an outer periphery, each of which is associated with one of the distances. A sensor is disposed in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the circular plate and operable to output a signal indicative of a passage of each of the flags in accordance with the rotation of the circular plate. At least one of intervals between the flags in a circumferential direction of the circular plate is made different from the other.

Gap detector, liquid ejecting apparatus incorporating the same, and gap detecting method executed in the apparatus

A liquid ejecting head is adapted to eject liquid toward a target medium. A guide shaft extends in a first direction. A carriage reciprocately carries the liquid ejecting head in the first direction while being guided by the guide shaft. A moment generator is disposed between the carriage and the guide shaft at a position shifted from a centrium of the carriage in the first direction. The moment generator exerts a force directed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, thereby generating a first rotation moment in the carriage.

Recording apparatus and liquid ejecting apparatus

There is disclosed an ink cartridge capable of being removably held in an ink cartridge accommodation portion simply by pushing in the cartridge in an insertion direction. The ink cartridge () is mounted on a carriage () having a cartridge accommodation region. A one-push type fixing member () in a position facing a surface parallel to an insertion direction in which the cartridge is inserted into the cartridge accommodation region is engaged with a fixing protrusion () forming another one-push type fixing member and cooperating with the first-mentioned one-push type fixing member, so that the cartridge () is held in a predetermined position in a state in which the cartridge is resiliently urged by a spring () in a direction opposite to the insertion direction.

Inkjet recording apparatus and ink cartridge

There is disclosed a liquid container that can be removably held in a liquid container accommodation portion by pushing the container in an insertion direction. The liquid container is mounted on a carriage having a container accommodation region. A one-push type fixing member in a position facing a surface parallel to an insertion direction in which the container is inserted into the container accommodation region is engaged with a fixing protrusion forming another one-push type fixing member and cooperating with the first-mentioned one-push type fixing member, so that the container is held in a predetermined position in a state in which the container is resiliently urged by a spring in a direction opposite to the insertion direction.

It is provided with a pair of carriage guide shafts, and the carriage guide shaft is made to be in sliding contact with a carriage, to realize such a concentric shaft configuration that a guide shaft part, which directly guides a reciprocating motion of the carriage, and rotation shaft parts, which are disposed on both ends thereof, were disposed so as to coincide therewith. In addition, by disposing parallel lifting device which utilized a cam mechanism and a lifting guide portion to side frames, the carriage guide shaft is configured so as to be able to obtain a predetermined lifting stroke which corresponds to a rotation angle. In addition, as synchronous drive transmission mechanism of the pair of carriage guide shafts, a gear wheel train was used.
