An air purification unit is provided for individuals seated at a table that has a unit body adapted to be mounted at a mounting height at or above the approximate head height of individuals seated at the table, and in a position between the individuals. A motorized fan system is provided within the unit body that is configured to draw air from at least one inlet proximate the bottom of the unit body. A filter is positioned in communication with the inlet and the fan system for filtering air drawn through the inlet. The unit body has at least two ducted outlets disposed radially or axially for discharging filtered air toward the individuals, while the unit prevents cross-flow of breath air between the individuals.

Localized air filtration system

A light assembly is provided that includes a housing, a light pipe assembly, and a conforming seal. The housing has a cavity extending through the housing between first and second ends of the housing. The housing holds a light source that is configured to emit light within the cavity. The light pipe assembly has an attachment end disposed at the first end of the housing. The light emitted by the light source is received by the light pipe assembly at the attachment end and is transmitted through the light pipe assembly. The conforming seal has a tubular shape that at least partially surrounds the housing and the light pipe assembly. A first segment of the conforming seal extends along the light pipe assembly and conforms to the light pipe assembly. A second segment of the conforming seal extends along the housing and conforms to the housing.

A light pipe assembly includes a light pipe and an optical concentrator. The light pipe is elongated between opposite ends along a longitudinal axis. The light pipe is formed from a light transmissive material. The optical concentrator is joined to the first end of the light pipe and includes an end section and an opposite coupling end connected to the first end of the light pipe. The end section is configured to receive light generated by a light source. The optical concentrator is formed from a light transmissive material that conveys light through the optical concentrator. The optical concentrator focuses the light generated by the light source into the first end of the light pipe.

A combination light and switch assembly for a panel of a vehicle is provided. The assembly includes a circuit board having an LED contact and a latch contact. The latch contact is configured to electrically couple to a latch of the panel. A LED is joined to the LED contact. The LED is configured to illuminate at least a portion of the panel. An actuator assembly is moveable toward the circuit board so that the actuator assembly engages the latch contact to operate the latch of the panel when the latch contact is engaged by the actuator assembly.

Combination light and switch assembly

A light pipe assembly includes a lamp assembly and a light pipe. The lamp assembly has a housing that holds a light source configured to emit light. The light pipe is elongated between an attachment end and an opposing distal end. The attachment end is received in the housing of the lamp assembly. The light pipe receives light emitted by the light source. Additionally, the light pipe includes surface elements that are configured to permit the light to emanate from the light pipe between the attachment and distal ends. The surface elements are arranged in a pattern that provides a predetermined distribution of light emanating from the light pipe.

Light pipe assembly

A light pipe is configured to provide a wide effective angle of illumination while simultaneously providing a substantially uniform distribution of light along a length of the light pipe. One or more reflective surfaces not aligned with an inner surface are disposed such that when at least one reflective surface is illuminated, light is emitted from the light pipe at one or more specified angles of light emission. A plurality of reflection points are formed on the inner surface to cause the specified angles when at least one of the reflective surfaces is illuminated. A light pipe is also provided having one or more exterior protrusions configured to function as a secondary light source. A second portion of an outer surface of the light pipe has a radius of curvature which differs from the radius of curvature of the first portion of the outer surface.

A handle assembly includes a bezel having a handle cavity defined by a cavity wall and an open front providing access to the handle cavity. The bezel has a slot through the cavity wall and a lamp assembly is mounted to the bezel proximate the slot. The lamp assembly includes a housing and a light pipe held by the housing, where the light pipe includes a first leg extending along a primary axis and a second leg extending along a secondary axis generally perpendicular with respect to the primary axis. The second leg has a lens along an inner surface of the second leg, wherein light is directed through the light pipe along the primary axis to a primary reflective surface provided at the intersection of the first and second legs. The primary reflective surface directs light along the second leg toward the lens.

Handle assembly with controlled light distribution

A lamp assembly for mounting to a panel includes a housing assembly having a lamp section holding a light source assembly, and a lens section extending from the lamp section. The lens section has a lens through which light from the light source assembly is directed, wherein the lens is configured to be received within a mounting opening of the panel. A locking tab extends from an outer surface of the lens section, wherein the locking tab is configured to be received within the mounting opening of the panel and wherein the locking tab is configured to engage a locking surface to secure the housing assembly relative to the panel.

Low profile lamp assembly

A light emitting element assembly for mounting to a panel. The assembly includes a housing configured to receive a light emitting element therein. In addition, the assembly includes a bezel having at least one latch arm extending from a surface of the bezel, wherein the bezel is configured to detachably engage a surface within the housing. The bezel is further configured to retain the assembly in a position relative to the panel. The assembly also includes a mounting structure having the light emitting element operably mounted therein.

A lamp and socket assembly includes a lamp assembly including a lamp holder having an end panel, and a housing having a lamp side and a wire side. The lamp side includes a lamp receptacle. The lamp holder is received in the lamp receptacle. A channel is formed in the lamp receptacle. The channel includes opposed side walls, and each side wall has an engagement surface. The engagement surfaces engage side edges of the end panel to retain the lamp assembly in the lamp receptacle. A method for sealing the wiring cavity in a lamp socket includes fabricating the lamp socket with a passageway between the wiring cavity and the lamp side of the socket housing, positioning the socket housing on a non-adhering surface with the lamp side facing upward such that the wiring cavity is blocked by the non-adhering surface, introducing a potting compound into the wiring cavity from the lamp side of the socket housing through the passageway, and removing the socket housing from the non-adhering surface after the potting compound has hardened.

A lamp socket includes a housing having a lamp receiving side and a wire receiving side. The lamp receiving side includes a lamp receptacle configured to receive the lamp assembly when inserted in a lamp insertion direction. The wire receiving side includes a contact receptacle. A contact is mounted in the contact receptacle in the housing. The contact includes a mating end for electrically and mechanically engaging the lamp assembly. The mating end includes a first side wall and an end wall joined to one another along a bend that extends along a longitudinal axis of the contact. The longitudinal axis extends in a direction non-perpendicular to the insertion direction. The first side wall has a planar surface that extends along a vertical plane. The planar surface engages the lamp assembly continuously along a length of the planar surface in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the contact and to the lamp insertion direction. The lamp socket further includes a retainer having a first end mounted in the housing and a second end configured to engage a groove formed in the lamp holder to retain the lamp holder in the housing.

An electrical connector is shown having a connector housing and a terminal positioning assurance member. The housing has slots which co-exist in a parallel manner with terminal receiving passageways of the housing. The terminal positioning assurance member has leg portions receivable transversely of the slots, and the TPA is movable from a position where a primary latch in the connector can be biased into the slot to allow the insertion of a terminal into the cavity of the housing and the terminal positioning assurance member can be moved to a locked position, where legs of the TPA, which are movable within the slot, are moved behind the latch, preventing the movement of the latch members.

The invention provides a header for receiving a mating plug. The header is mountable to a sealed housing. A bottom wall of the header features a flange receiving opening for allowing a portion of the bottom wall to pass into a flange of the sealed housing. A plurality of contact receiving passageways passing through the bottom wall are positioned between portions of the flange receiving opening. At least one external contact receiving passageway passes through the bottom wall in the position which is adjacent to and outside of at least a portion of the flange receiving opening. This header allows electrical signals to be carried through the bottom wall both into the sealed assembly and also to other locations outside of the sealed assembly.
