An information processing apparatus includes: a hard disk drive unit including a hard disk drive configured to read various data from and write various data in a magnetic disk incorporated therein; a housing of an apparatus main body configured to hold the hard disk drive on a substrate to be freely attached and detached; and a hard-disk-drive holding member provided in the hard disk drive unit, configured to include a first anti-vibration member having vibration damping properties disposed on a predetermined surface parallel to a disk width direction of the magnetic disk and fix and hold the hard disk drive in a state in which the first anti-vibration member is sandwiched between the hard disk drive and the predetermined surface, and formed of a metal member.

Information processing apparatus

A printer includes an upper unit which opens and closes about a fulcrum lying at a rear position of a lower unit, and a paper path which is opened by opening the upper unit. A sensor unit is attached to the lower unit and includes a lower sensor holder and an upper sensor holder which are disposed in opposition to each other via the paper path. The paper path can be opened by pivoting the upper sensor holder relative to the lower sensor holder. When the upper unit is closed, the upper sensor holder is also closed in accordance with a closing pivoting motion of the upper unit.

An information processing apparatus includes: a hard disk drive unit including a hard disk drive configured to read various data from and write various data in a magnetic disk incorporated therein; a housing of an apparatus main body configured to hold the hard disk drive on a substrate to be freely attached and detached; a hard-disk-drive holding member provided in the hard disk drive unit, configured to include a first anti-vibration member having vibration damping properties disposed on a predetermined surface parallel to a disk width direction of the magnetic disk and fix and hold the hard disk drive in a state in which the first anti-vibration member is sandwiched between the hard disk drive and the predetermined member, and formed of a metal member; a member to be guided provided in the hard disk drive unit and provided on a surface parallel to the disk width direction of the magnetic disk different from the predetermined surface of the hard-disk-drive holding member; and a base member provided in the housing of the apparatus main body, configured to have a guide section for guiding the member to be guided in attaching and detaching directions of the hard disk drive unit and come into contact with the hard-disk-drive holding member of the hard disk drive unit attached to the substrate according to the guide by the guide section, and formed of a metal member.

A controller of a distributed POS terminal includes a control box frame which stores various hardware components for performing merchandise sales data processing, a top cover which covers an upper face and side faces of a control box frame, and a front cover which covers a front face of the control box frame. The control box frame includes a stepped part at a front portion thereof, such that a front portion of the control box frame is lower than a back portion thereof. When the control box frame is used for the distributed type POS terminal, an additional frame is fixed to the step portion to increase the supporting strength of the top cover. When the control box frame is used for an integrated POS terminal, the stepped part provides a space to place a keyboard.

Controller of merchandise sales data processing apparatus

A color printer includes a plurality of platens arranged on paper feeding path to feed paper on which a plurality of printing areas are arranged in series, a plurality of print heads arranged on the feeding path to face the platens to print data on the same printing areas of the paper fed on the feeding path, a feeding roller for feeding, to the print heads, the paper along the feeding path, a front-edge sensing section disposed between the feeding roller and a print head nearest the feeding roller to detect that the paper has been positioned at a printing start position, and a plurality of head lift mechanisms for setting the print heads from the platens to a standby position apart from the platens before the paper is fed to the printing start position and to a contact position at which the print heads come in contact with the platens after the paper has been fed to the printing start position. Particularly, the color printer has an engine controller for sequentially driving the head lift mechanisms to set the print heads to the contact position when the front edge of the paper has reached positions slightly advanced over the print heads.

Printer device

Of a plurality of page memories for storing printing data corresponding to the printing heads, at least the page memory is associated with an auxiliary memory for storing at least two continuous pages of printing data for at least one printing head, wherein a printing data write unit executes a process for writing the next page of printing data in one of the page memory and the auxiliary memory while the printing data stored in the other one of the page memory and the auxiliary memory is being printed, and the image processing unit supplies printing data continuously and alternately from the page memory and the auxiliary memory to each corresponding printing head.

Color printer

A printer comprises a convey roller for withdrawing continuous paper from a roll of the paper and conveying the paper along a predetermined convey path. The convey roller is rotated at a predetermined peripheral speed and conveys the paper with a first convey force. Four printing portions are provided sequentially along the convey path. Each of the printing portion has a printing head, and a platen roller which is brought into contact with the paper while opposing the printing head and conveys the paper with a second convey force. A sum of second convey forces of the platen rollers is set to be smaller than the first convey force. The platen rollers are rotated at peripheral speeds higher than that of the convey roller, and such that the peripheral speeds thereof are sequentially increased in an order of a platen roller adjacent to the convey roller toward a platen roller separated from the convey roller.

Printer and method of supplying continuous paper to printing portion

A transfer printer comprises a printer body having first and second support frames separated from and opposing to each other. A printing portion includes a platen roller supported by the first and second support frame, and a line thermal head having one end portion supported by the first support frame and a free end located near the second support frame. A ribbon magazine having an ink ribbon is detachably fitted in the printer body from a free end side of the thermal head. The first support frame has first magazine positioning pins for engaging the support body of the fitted ribbon magazine to position and support the ribbon magazine. The second support frame has second magazine positioning pins for engaging the support body of the fitted ribbon magazine to position and support the ribbon magazine. The support body of the ribbon magazine has head positioning pins for engaging the free end of the thermal head to position and support the free end.

Transfer printer

A label printer for printing an image on a plurality of labels attached to a base sheet and issuing the labels on which the image has been printed. The label printer includes a platen roller, a pinch roller adapted to separably contact the platen roller through the base sheet, a slide frame for supporting the pinch roller so that the pinch roller is movable between a contact position and a separate position with respect to the platen roller, and a frame stopper for releasably holding the slide frame in the contact position where the pinch roller is in contact with the platen roller. When the frame stopper is released from the slide frame, the slide frame is slid to reach the separate position to widely separate the pinch roller from the platen roller. Accordingly, the base sheet can be easily inserted through the space defined between the platen roller and the pinch roller separated therefrom.

Label printer

A bracket is provided which is supported by a shaft so as to be freely rotatable between a pair of supporting frames, a line head is fixed on the bracket through an elastic member, a platen is disposed in a position opposing to a heating element array of the line head and is capable of freely approaching to or receding from the platen, engaging holes are formed on a supporting frame, an engaging claw to be engaged with the engaging hole is formed on the bracket, and the pressing force of the line head toward the platen is varied in several steps by holding the bracket stepwise.

Thermal printer having a thermal line head positioning mechanism

According to the present invention, a printer mechanism housing portion which houses a printer mechanism therein and has a paper insertion opening formed in the upper surface thereof is provided, and a flat terminal loading base is provided continuously to the lower side faces of the printer mechanism housing portion. The flat terminal loading base having a paper insertion passage in the interior thereof and also having a terminal loading surface as an upper surface. The paper insertion opening and the paper insertion passage being connected with each other in a curved form through a paper guide passage, whereby the space efficiency is enhanced to permit the reduction in size of the entire system.

According to the present invention, there is used a conveyance roller for the conveyance of a pasteboard with labels; a separating member is disposed on a downstream side from a pasteboard conveyance path with respect to a printing head which holds the pasteboard with labels between the same and a platen, and in a position close to the printing head; and a pinch roller is provided for holding between the same and the conveyance roller the pasteboard portion which has been bent and separated from a label after printing by the separating member. The conveyance of the pasteboard with labels for printing and the conveyance of the pasteboard for label separating can be done at a time by driving either the conveyance roller or the pinch roller.
