A card-receiving connector system for a miniature circuit card. A card holder receives a card, and a frame is adapted for locating the card holder in an operative position thereon and includes spring contacts mounted therein for engagement with electronic circuitry on the card. Complementary interengaging latches are provided between the frame and the card holder for holding the card holder in the operative position. An eject mechanism is mounted on the frame for ejecting the card holder from its operative position. An unlatching mechanism is operatively associated with the eject mechanism for unlatching the interengaging latches in response to movement of the eject mechanism. Lost motion is built into the eject mechanism to permit unlatching of the latches prior to ejecting the card holder from its operative position.

A rotatively-operated electronic component with a push switch includes an attachment base plate. A rotatively-operated electronic component portion supported on the attachment base plate has a rotatable operation knob. An electric signal can be generated in response to rotation of the operation knob. The rotatively-operated electronic component portion can move relative to the attachment base plate by application of a force to the operation knob. A push switch portion is supported on the attachment base plate. The push switch portion is actuated in response to movement of the rotatively-operated electronic component portion relative to the attachment base plate by the application of the force to the operation knob.

A portable radiotelephone transmits and receives voice information signals to and from a telephone base station by radio. The radio telephone includes a telephone main body having a key pad section mounted on its outer surface and containing a microphone unit. A speaker housing containing a speaker unit is slidably mounted on the telephone main body. A switching unit located between the telephone body and the speaker housing establishes electrical connection and disconnection between the telephone body and the speaker housing depending upon their relative positions as changed by sliding the speaker unit. Electrical connection is established when the speaker housing is moved in a direction away from the microphone unit located on the telephone main body.

An improved earphone comprises a housing with a transducer therein. A rod member in fixed connection with the housing is provided along with a separating element which is connected at one end to frictionally slide along the rod member but without rotating relative thereto. A curved lever is provided at the other end of the separating element which has a free end portion to be engaged on the ear. The transducer is spaced an appropriate distance for radiating sound into the ear and can be aligned relative to an angle of the ear without placing excessive pressure on the ear.
