There are provided a glass tube in which a rare gas under predetermined pressure is sealed, a cathode electrode and an anode electrode disposed in a first end portion and a second end portion of the glass tube, respectively, facing each other, and a trigger electrode including a transparent conductive film formed on an outer peripheral surface of the glass tube. The trigger electrode includes an electrode body disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the glass tube, along a tube axis direction of the glass tube, and an enlarged portion that covers at least any one of the cathode electrode and the anode electrode, and that has a circumferential width wider than a circumferential width of the electrode body. This provides a flash discharge tube capable of reducing variations in optical distribution characteristics during light emission with a small amount of light, and improving life durability during continuous emission of a large amount of light and at short intervals.

Flash discharge tube and flash device

In a light source device, an axis extends from a light-emitting face and perpendicularly to the light-emitting face. A reflective surface includes a curved surface defined by rotating a first arc which is a part of an ellipse around the axis. The ellipse has a first focal point and a second focal point which are located on the light-emitting face. The second focal point is located adjacently to the first arc with respect to a center of the ellipse. A distance from the first focal point to the axis is shorter than a distance from the second focal point to the axis.

Light source device and lighting device

An illuminating device includes: first lenses individually corresponding to LEDs; a light control member including light transmission channels individually corresponding to the first lenses and a light blocker surrounding the light transmission channels; and second lenses individually corresponding to the light transmission channels. Each first lens includes a light concentrator for producing concentrated light by concentrating light emitted from a corresponding LED, and a reflector surrounding the light concentrator to produce reflected light by reflecting light emitted from the corresponding LED in a direction across the concentrated light. Each first lens outputs illumination light including the concentrated light and the reflected light produced from the corresponding light emitting diode. Each light transmission channel transmits the illumination light output from a corresponding first lens. The light blocker prevents transmission of the illumination light emitted from each first lens. Each second lens refracts the illumination light transmitted by a corresponding light transmission channel.

Illuminating device

A lens has a light-incoming face, a light-outgoing face, and a side face. The light-incoming face is disposed near a light source or in contact with the light source. The light-outgoing face is provided opposite to the light-incoming face. The side face has a curved total reflection surface that totally reflects a light beam that has entered the light-incoming face. The total reflection surface is formed so that light beams that have reflected off the total reflection surface focus in a given angle from the light-outgoing face.

Lens and semiconductor light-emitting element module using same

In an LED lighting device of the present invention, the reflecting surface of the light guide body is formed of division lines and a connection line connecting between the division lines. Each division line divides a cross section line of a virtual reflecting surface crossing projection lines. Each projection line is radially drawn at a selected angle from a selected point of a given distance away from a center point of the LED element toward the cross section line of the virtual reflecting surface of the light guide body. Each division line is adjusted by similar amplification or similar contraction so as to be contained within the thickness line with its length large enough to receive all the incoming light.

LED lighting device

An illumination device including a light guide unit in which an optical path through which light propagates is formed in an annular shape such that the light propagating in the optical path is emitted from a front surface side of the light guide unit; a local reflection unit provided on the rear surface side of the light guide unit such that light is emitted from only a portion of the front surface side of the light guide unit; and a light source that moves between the light guide unit and the local reflection unit. When the light source is positioned on the light guide unit side, light output from the light source propagates in the optical path of the light guide unit and is emitted from the front surface side in an annular shape. When the light source is positioned on the local reflection unit side, the light output from the light source is reflected by the local reflection unit and emitted in a concentrated manner from only the portion on the front surface side of the light guide unit.
