A plunger electric fuel pump includes a cylinder; a plunger; a pump body; a movable element to which the plunger is connected; a fixed core provided so as to face the movable element; a rotational core including a permanent magnet; an electric motor configured to rotate the rotational core; and a spring configured to urge the movable element in a direction away from the pump body. The rotational core and the fixed core are provided with a switching portion configured to switch between a first state and a second state when a rotational phase of the rotational core is changed, the first state being a state where the magnetic force of the permanent magnet is not applied to the movable element, the second state being a state where the magnetic force of the permanent magnet is applied to the movable element.

Plunger electric fuel pump

A fuel pump includes a plunger that reciprocates inside a cylinder. The fuel pump includes a first movable element connected to the plunger, a second movable element that functions as a counterweight for preventing or reducing vibrations that are created by reciprocation of the first movable element, an electromagnet provided between the first movable element and the second movable element, a magnetic member that is provided between the first movable element and the second movable element and that attracts both the first movable element and the second movable element when the electromagnet is energized, and a first spring that urges the first movable element and the second movable element so as to move away from each other.

Fuel pump

A fuel pump includes a first plunger that reciprocates in a first cylinder. The fuel pump further includes a first mover connected to the first plunger; a second mover that serves as a counterweight for suppressing vibration that occurs due to reciprocating movement of the first mover; an electromagnet and a magnetic member that are provided between the first mover and the second mover; a plate disposed between the first mover and the second mover; and a third spring and a fourth spring being a pair of springs sandwiching the plate between the third spring and the fourth spring, the third spring and the fourth spring having end portions connected to a housing.

A fuel pump includes a plunger that reciprocates in a cylinder. The fuel pump further includes a first mover connected to the plunger, a second mover serving as a counterweight for the first mover, an electromagnet provided between the first mover and the second mover, a first magnetic member provided between the first mover and the second mover, and a first spring urging the first mover and the second mover away from each other. Further, a second magnetic member is provided between both of the electromagnet and the first magnetic member and a first inclined surface of the first mover, while a third magnetic member is provided between both of the electromagnet and the first magnetic member and a second inclined surface of the second mover.

A fuel pump includes a holed disk-shaped plate and a coil spring to press the plate toward a lifter. The plate has an inner circumferential surface to be engaged with a groove in a projection-side end portion of a plunger. Also, a joint port that connects the inner peripheral surface of the plate to an outer peripheral surface thereof is provided in the plate. The coil spring is located between the plate and a pump body. The plate is assembled in the fuel pump to dispose the joint port at a position in an opposite direction to the direction of a side force to be generated during compression of the coil spring when viewed from a central axis of the coil spring.

A fuel injection pump is provided. The fuel injection pump includes a valve holder, a plunger, an inlet valve, an outlet valve, and a relief valve. The valve holder includes a pump chamber and a seat. The plunger configured to pressurize or depressurize the pump chamber. The inlet valve, the outlet valve, and the relief valve are arranged in an interior of the valve holder. The relief valve is provided on a downstream side of the outlet valve. The pump chamber is formed between the inlet valve and the outlet valve. The seat has a discharge passage and a return passage. The return passage is configured such that the fuel flows through the return passage from the downstream side of the outlet valve to an upstream side of the relief valve. The discharge passage and the return passage are formed offset from each other in the seat.

Fuel injection pump

A fuel supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a motor, a fuel pump, an alternator, a centrifugal clutch, and an electronic control unit. The centrifugal clutch is configured to, when the rotation speed of the output shaft of the motor is higher than or equal to an engaging rotation speed, connect the output shaft of the motor with the rotary shaft of the alternator. The engaging rotation speed is a rotation speed higher than a rotation speed of the rotary shaft at which torque that acts on the rotary shaft as a result of generation of electric power by the alternator becomes maximum and is a rotation speed lower than a rotation speed at which torque for driving the high-pressure fuel pump cannot be provided by only the motor at the time when the motor is driven at rated output power.

Fuel supply apparatus for internal combustion engine

Provided is a fuel pump comprising: a pump body; a plunger reciprocatably displaceable with respect to the pump body; and a plurality of valve elements inclusive of a suction valve to allow the fuel to be sucked into the fuel pressurizing chamber and a discharge valve to allow the fuel to be discharged out of the fuel pressurizing chamber, in which the pump body comprises a tubular valve retention member to retain the plurality of valve elements, a cylinder member to slidably retain the plunger, and an outer shell member having an inner wall surface facing an outer surface of the valve retention member, the inner wall surface and the outer surface of the valve retention member collectively forming a suction gallery chamber.

A fuel pump which can suppress fuel bubbles from being sucked into a fuel pressure chamber, and can achieve a stable fuel pressure property. The fuel pump has a pump body formed with a suction passage and a pump operation chamber, and a pressure pump mechanism to pressurize and discharge fuel. The pump body has a lower side wall portion and an upper side wall portion respectively at the vertically lower and upper sides of the inner wall portion forming a suction gallery chamber partly forming the suction passage. The pressure pump mechanism has a valve retaining member having an insertion portion inserted into the suction gallery chamber. The insertion portion has internal suction inlets through which the fuel is sucked from the suction gallery chamber into the pump operation chamber, the internal suction inlets being positioned in the intermediate height area in the suction gallery chamber.

Jig and method for processing cylinder block

In a dummy head (a jig for processing a cylinder block) having a dummy head body deforming a cylinder bore by assembling into a mounting surface of the cylinder block by bolt fastening, during the finish processing of the cylinder bore, a boss having a contact surface contacting a peripheral portion of the cylinder bore on the head mounting surface is provided on a mounting surface side for the cylinder block of the dummy head body, and at least the dummy head body has a higher rigidity than the cylinder block.

A high pressure pump for preventing distortion of a sealing surface or a cylinder form. The high pressure pump has an intermediate member including a cylinder body having a pressurizing chamber communicated with a cylinder accommodating a plunger. Fluid in the pressurizing chamber is pressurized by reciprocating the plunger. The intermediate member is arranged between a cover and a flange and is clamped by clamping bolts. An electromagnetic spill valve for receiving reaction force from the pressurizing chamber when the fluid in the pressurizing chamber is pressurized is attached to the cover at a position for reducing the clamping force applied to the intermediate member by the clamping bolts.

High-pressure pump having small initial axial force of a clamping bolt

A high pressure pump for decreasing an initial axial force of a clamping bolt and preventing distortion of a sealing surface and a cylinder form. The high pressure pump has an intermediate member including a cylinder body. The cylinder body has a pressurizing chamber communicated with a cylinder accommodating a plunger. Fluid in the pressurizing chamber is pressurized by reciprocating the plunger. The intermediate member is arranged between a cover and a flange and clamped by a clamping bolt. The clamping bolt has an exposed area at its axially central area where the entire periphery of the clamping bolt is exposed from the cover and the flange. One or both of the cover and the flange clamp the intermediate member with a flexing elastic force.

High-pressure fuel pump and assembly structure of high-pressure pump

A high pressure fuel pump includes a cylinder having a pressurizing chamber and a plunger inserted into the cylinder. The plunger is axially reciprocated by a lifter to pressurize fuel in the pressurizing chamber. A seal member encompasses a portion of the plunger that is projected from the cylinder. The seal member disconnects a cylinder side space surrounded by the seal member from a lifter side space outside the seal member. The seal member has an annular lip portion that contacts a peripheral surface of the plunger, and the annular lip portion has a pair of lips separated from each other in an axial direction of the plunger. An axial distance between the lips is greater than a stroke of the plunger. As a result, fuel does not enter the lifter side space, and lubricating oil does not enter the cylinder side space.
