Internal needle

A puncturing needle assisting tool. A first rotating portionrotates from an open to a closed position, around a first hinge connecting portionas the rotating center, to the surface side of an assisting tool main unitto close the surface opening of a first guide groove. The puncturing needles move along the guide grooves to puncture into the body in a proper state, without shifting. A gastrostomy tube extension device which can facilitate the insertion or removal operation in and from the patient, and increase the simplicity of manufacture. A gastrostomy tube extension device for inserting or taking out the gastrostomy tube into/from the patient includes a rod, a fixing member, and an engaging member. The rod is formed of a rod-shaped member with engaging stepped portions. The fixing member is capable of moving along the longitudinal direction of the rod, and an engaging projection which can be fixed to the tube member is formed on the peripheral surface of the fixing member. The engaging member includes a lower engaging portion engageable with the engaging projection and an upper engaging portion which is engageable with the engaging stepped portion This assembly allows the extension to be locked.

Gastrostomy tube extension device

Certain embodiments of the present invention include a male luer connector having a valve arrangement for keeping a passage that extends through the male luer connector closed when the male luer connector is not attached to a corresponding female luer connector. This passage of the male luer connector may be opened by connecting the male luer connector to a female luer connector. The valve arrangement of the male luer connector may include a movable sealing element arranged around a central fluid conduit. In some embodiments, the male luer connector may include a filter that is permeable to gas, but substantially impermeable to liquid, thus allowing gas to be purged from the male luer connector while substantially preventing liquid from leaking from the connector at least when the male luer connector is not connected to a female luer connector.
