Fixed conductive plates are buried in a case. In its internal space, a first contact surface, which is part of each fixed conductive plate, and a second contact surface, which is an inner surface of the case, are opposite to each other, and an elastic conductive plate is interposed in this opposing portion. A snap button wherein when a male snap is removed from a female snap, a rotation between the snaps is limited, but is permitted normally. A male-side grooved surface is provided on a male snap radially outward from a projection of the snap with a plurality of grooves formed so that peaks and troughs of the grooves are arranged continuously in the circumferential direction. A female-side grooved surface similar to the male-side grooved surface is provided on a female snap radially outward from a projection-receiving space of the snap. The female-side grooved surface is inclined relative to the male-side grooved surface. When the male snap is removed from the female snap, each axis of the male snap and the female snap, which are yet in a coupled state, inclines relative to each other, causing the male-side grooved surface and the female-side grooved surface to partially engage with each other.

A method of directly precipitating a spherical amorphous silica in a high yield by adding a carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as a coagulation growing agent in a step of neutralizing the alkali silicate with an acid. The CMC having a particular etherification degree and a particular polymerization degree is added in an amount of from 1 to 100% by weight reckoned as SiO.sub.2 with respect to silica in the alkali silicate, whereby the whole silica particles turn into spherical amorphous silica particles having high sphericalness. There can be obtained spherical amorphous silica particles having a BET specific surface area of from 25 to 800 m.sup.2 /g, an apparent specific gravity of from 0.1 to 0.8 and a particle diameter of from 0.2 to 50 .mu.m cheaply and in a high yield.

Method of producing granular amorphous silica

An additive for resins, a process for preparing amorphous definite particles used as an inorganic additive, and an olefin resin composition blended with the additive, and an agricultural film blended with the additive and a lithium-aluminum composite hydroxide carbonate. The additive for resins comprises amorphous definite particles having (1) a molar ratio SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 of from 2.1 to 3.3 on the basis of oxides, (2) an average particle diameter of from 0.3 to 10 .mu.m, (3) a moisture regain at equilibrium (RH90%) of not greater than 10%, (4) a bulk density of from 0.5 to 1.2 g/ml, and (5) a pH in the form of an aqueous suspension of from 6 to 10, said amorphous definite particles being obtained by acid-treating and then heat-treating a Pc zeolite having a spherical particle shape, a notched surface and a molar ratio SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 of from 2 to 3.4 on the basis of oxides, and said amorphous definite particles further having substantially the same particulate structure as that of said Pc zeolite.

Additive for resins, process for its preparation and olefin resin

Disclosed are amorphous silica or silica-alumina spherical particles composed of X-ray diffractometrically substantially amorphous silica or silica-alumina, wherein individual particles have a definite spherical shape and a notched surface, the circularity (A) represented by the following formula: ##EQU1## wherein r1 stands for the radius of the circumcircle of the profile of the particle in an electron microscope photo thereof and r2 stands for the radius of the inscribed circle of the profile of the particle in the electron microscope photo, is in the range of from 0.90 to 1, the notching degree (B) represented by the formula: ##EQU2## wherein .DELTA.t stands for the depth between the peak and trough in the radial direction of notches on the profile of the particle in the electron microscope photo and r1 is as defined above, is in the range of from 1 to 10%, and the primary particle size (2r1) determined by the electron microscope method is in the range of from 0.1 to 20 .mu.m.

A porous and spherical silica is recovered in high yields from a neutralized product of an alkali silicate obtained by using an acrylamide type polymer as a coagulation growing agent, and the above silica is reacted as a precursor with a metal compound of the Group II of periodic table in an aqueous medium to obtain amorphous or fine, laminar and crystalline porous and spherical silica or silicate granules having a high degree of true sphericality, a symmetrical grain size distribution and a refractive index over a range of from 1.4 to 1.7. The porous and spherical granules have a primary grain diameter of 0.3 to 30 .mu.m as observed through an electron microscope, have an apparent specific gravity of from 0.05 to 0.5 g/ml, and are cheaply obtained in high yields, and can hence be used as a filler for various paints and resins. In particularly, the granules excellently disperse in the resins, have a refractive index close to those of the resins, are not crushed during the kneading with resins or extrusion, or do not damage the apparatus. The films obtained by using these granules exhibit very excellent transparency, anti-blocking property and scar resistance. Moreover, the porous and spherical zinc phyllosilicate type granules having fine grain sizes and symmetrical grain size distributions, are excellent in their odor scavenging property and sweat controlling property.

Disclosed is an alumina-silica resin additive consisting of amorphous alumina-silica particles in which a definite cubic or spherical shape is retained in primary particles and the particle sizes of both the primary particles and the secondary particles are controlled to very small values. This additive is excellent in dispersibility in a resin, non-blowing property, slip characteristic and anti-blocking property. A product obtained by surface-treating the amorphous alumina-silica particles with a certain amount of an organic lubricant is very valuable as a filler.

The invention is a process for preparing amorphous silica alumina spherical particles by mixing sodium silicate or silicic acid gel with sodium aluminate and sodium hydroxide in an aqueous solution to form a gel, homogenizing the formed gel, crystallizing this intermediate product at 85.degree. C. to 200.degree. under atmospheric pressure or under hydrothermal conditions to form spherical zeolite particles with an x-ray diffraction pattern inherent to P-type zeolites and with a notched surface, treating the zeolite particles with acid to remove the sodium, thereby rendering the particles amorphous.

Preparation of amorphous silica-alumina particles by acid-treating

Disclosed are amorphous silica-alumina spherical particles having a notched surface. The particles have a small specific surface area and a highly controlled hygroscopic property. The spherical particles are obtained by exchanging at least a part of an alkali metal ion of a P-type zeolite as the starting material with a divalent metal and firing the ion-exchanged zeolite. Since the pH value is shifted to a weakly alkaline level by the ion exchange treatment, the particles are effective as a filler for stabilizing a resin or the like when incorporated therein, and the refractive index of the particles can be made close to that of a resin in which the particles are to be incorporated.

Amorphous silica-alumina spherical particles and process for preparation

An inorganic filler composed of a modified montmorillonite group clay mineral and having an X-ray diffraction pattern inherent to montmorillonite, an oil absorption of at least 100 ml/100 g and a Hunter whiteness of at least 80%. The modified clay mineral is produced by reacting a clay mineral of the montmorillonite group which 10 to 200% by weight based on the dry weight of the mineral, of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide in the presence of water, and reacting the reaction product with a salt of a metal of Group IIb, III or IV of the periodic table containing an acid radical which gives a soluble alkaline earth metal salt upon reaction. The inorganic filler is especially suitable for use in lightweight paper.
