A power transmission device for a vehicle is comprised of a motor including a rotor shaft and a stator having an electromagnetic coil; an inverter configured to generate an alternating current, the inverter being connected with the coil to controllably rotate the rotor shaft relative to the stator; a gear set including an input shaft coupled with and rotated by the rotor shaft, an output shaft and gears so meshed as to transmit torque of the input shaft to the output shaft; and a grounding path electrically connecting a part of the gear set with a body of the vehicle, the part being so disposed as to have the input shaft electrically interposed between the part and the rotor shaft.

Gear system for electric vehicle

A power transmission device for an electrically driven vehicle basically includes a power transmission mechanism, a sliding contact brush, a brush case cover, and a brush protective jig. The power transmission mechanism includes a case element, an axle element and a power transmission element. The sliding contact brush is mounted on an axle end of the axle element. The brush case cover is selectively mounted to the case element to enclose the axle end of the axle element in the case element. The brush protective jig is mounted to cover the brush contact when mounting the sliding contact brush to the axle end. The brush protective jig is dimensioned to contact the brush case cover and to prevent the brush case cover from being mounted to the case element while the brush protective jig is in an attached state that covers the brush contact.

Power transmission device for electrically driven vehicle and manufacturing method therefore

A twin-clutch manual transmission including: first and second input shafts provided with respective clutches; a counter shaft parallel to these input shafts; gear sets of an odd-numbered gear range group disposed between the rear end portion of the first input shaft and the counter shaft; gear sets of the even-numbered gear range group disposed between the second input shaft and the counter shaft; an output shaft being concentric with and abutting on a rear end of the first input shaft; and a synchronizer provided between the rear end of the first input shaft and the output shaft to provide a direct-coupling gear range. The odd-numbered gear range group includes the direct-coupling gear range.
