An image heating apparatus includes a cylindrical rotatable member, an exciting coil, a magnetic core, and a resin material layer provided between the exciting coil and the magnetic core. The exciting coil is a metal wire coated with heat-resistant resin. The resin material layer is provided between the exciting coil and the magnetic core and is a layer that is different from the heat-resistant resin of the metal wire. The resin material layer is provided on a surface of the magnetic core in a helical shape along the exciting coil. As viewed in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the rotatable member, the exciting coil enters the resin material layer in a radial direction of the exciting coil.

Image heating apparatus

An image forming apparatus arranged to form an image on a recording material, the image forming apparatus includes a first and second object. A first urging member is provided between the electrically conductive wire, and arranged to urge towards the first object and to electrically couple the electrically conductive wire and the first object to each other. A second urging member is provided between the second object and the electrically conductive wire, and arranged to urge towards the second object and to electrically couple the electrically conductive wire and the second object to each other. The electrically conductive wire is formed of a material having an elastic coefficient that is lower than that of the first urging member and that of the second urging member.

An ink jet recording apparatus, for recording information on a recording medium, comprises a recording head having an ink ejection outlet for ejecting ink and an ejection recovery unit for ensuring satisfactory ejection from the ink ejection outlet. The ejection recovery unit has a housing, a cap disposed on one side of the housing for capping the ink ejection outlet, and a pump disposed on the other side of the housing and linked to the cap through a tube for sucking ink. In relation to the position of the ejection recovery unit, the tube is disposed so that it has a part bending upward in a vertical direction, and the pump is disposed so that an ink outlet thereof opens downward in a vertical direction.

Ink jet recording apparatus

An ink jet recording apparatus includes datum portions for positioning of each of a plurality of recording heads. The carriage has a cover member to protect the ink jet recording heads and to press them against the datum portions. Another cover member includes an electrical connecting member for making electrical connection to the recording head. With this structure, operating the cover members protects the ink jet recording heads, while they are positioned and electrical connection thereto is made.

This device includes a diaphragm, supporting member for fixedly supporting a circumference of the diaphragm, at least two pawl members having respective first ends fixed to a position substantially equidistant from the diaphragm's center, and extending away from the diaphragm to respective second ends constituting respective pawls, which have respective pawl end and base portions, the pawl members being resiliently flexible toward the center of the diaphragm. A coil spring has a diameter larger than a distance outside of the pawl base portions, this coil spring extending around an outside of the pawl members, a ring has an internal diameter larger than a distance between the outside of the pawl end portions and smaller than a distance between the outside of the pawl base portions and larger than the coil spring's outer diameter, so that the spring is compressed between the supporting member and ring abutted to the pawl base portions. A pair of electric contacts are disposed so as to make electric connection as a consequence of the diaphragm's occupying a predetermined position.

A recording apparatus comprises a recording head moved in a predetermined direction relative to a recording medium; a shaft member extended in the predetermined direction for rotatably supporting a carriage on which the recording head is mounted and for guiding movement of the recording head in the predetermined direction; a support member extended in the predetermined direction for supporting the carriage in cooperation with the shaft member; and a changing mechanism a distance between the recording head and the recording medium by changing a height of the carriage, the height being measured from the supporting member. In the case that the recording medium is made of materials, for example, having a poor property in absorbing ink, the operator can adjust the distance between the recording head and the recording medium to be large enough by using the above mentioned mechanism so that the recording medium, which may have warped due to ink absorption, will not rub against the recording head.
